I love this episode! Everything is amazing about it! Good storytelling and animation! Love the battle sequence with Jet and Aang in the trees among other scenes!

For the first time in this episode we really start to see the effects a 100-year war would have on the general populace. Jet and the other members of his group have only ever been hurt by the Fire Nation and have probably been fighting them all their lives (as have their parents and grandparents, likely). When you're at war for that long, it's easy to stop seeing the enemy as individuals and start seeing them as a single evil force that needs to be destroyed.
