Episode 9 (the end of the entire Skywalker Saga) is coming in December 2019. So it’s pretty cool and unique seeing you guys go through all the movies for the first time only a year before the final movie comes out, whereas most others have seen these movies forever. Look forward to seeing you guys move to the sequel trilogy!

Prophecy = Anakin will destroy the sith and bring balance to the force anakin destroys the jedi and in the end he kills the emperor to save his son no more jedi or sith balance

Amanda Logsdon

Are you guys going to do Rogue one as well?

Mitchell Bowker

Near the end after Obi-wan defeats Anakin, and Anakin's trying to claw his way up the slope away from the lava he kinda looked like Frodo, the main Hobbits from Lord of the Rings, as he was trying to crawl his way up Mount Doom. Very similar shot!

We come to it at last, the BEST of the prequel trilogy and my personal favorite film of the true 6 Saga films. The tragedy that is Anakin's story and his position as the Chosen One. How he completed the prophecy in the most backwards way possible. (If you think about it he is responsible for decimating the Jedi to two, and eventually one through Luke until he and his master were destroyed leveling out the Force.) It's a tale certainly worth telling, and makes me sad, angry, happy all at once with this movie. Every time I watch it I want it to be different. Anyways I was so happy to enjoy watching this movie with you three! :D

Also, quick note, you can think of Grievous as a beta version of Darth Vader. You'd have to dig into comics/books/cartoon shows but he was a Jedi hunter ad killer, leader of the droid armies and instilled terror into the galaxy just by virtue of his existence and notoriety. So, basically what Vader would become, only Vader was/is far worse.

Woohoo I just finished work here in Australia. Time to settle in and follow along once more. I'm an old school fan of the original trilogy. But I really enjoy the lore of the prequels, some of the expanded universe books for the prequel era are amazing. Clone wars series has made a name for itself. And I really enjoyed the force awakens :) good times!

What a great reaction! I loved this movie a lot too and it is my favorite of Episodes I, II, and III. The Revenge of the Sith is just so sad. Oh... seeing all of the younglings after they were killed and knowing it was Anakin who slaughtered them all... so tragic. However, my favorite parts about this movie was Obi Wan Kenobi's and Anakin's friendship, until Anakin turned to the Dark Side. And wow... did he ever turn so dark and evil. I felt so badly for Obi Wan because it broke his heart to have to fight and kill Anakin. He loved him like a brother. I can't even imagine how painful it would have been. And as for Hayden Christensen who plays Anakin... I have to admit, I didn't like him or even Anakin in Episode II: The Attack of the Clones because I felt like he just whined and complained the whole movie, but Hayden Christensen improved so much in this movie and he was incredible as he slowly turned from friend and brother, into Darth Vader. The turn was beautiful, yet so tragic. I hated seeing all of the Jedi being killed off too. Yoda was amazing as well, as was Obi Wan of course. And Palpatine, or Darth Sidious was terrifying. I've always thought that Darth Vader and the Emperor are the most terrifying villains of any movies and TV shows overall, ever since I first saw the original trilogy when I was a little girl back in the early eighties. And I still do. I really had fun watching this movie again with you all for the first time. Thank you very much! I can't wait for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story because it's one of my favorites aside from the original trilogy, although I know that Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is next in the theatrical order and I can't wait for that one too. Until next time...

How Amazing was That Final Battle?!

Opti_Frog

The best of the prequels by a wide margin. Still very constrained by events that has to unfold, and sadly, lots of standing, walking and sitting exposition. Everything that is not an action scene is almost static, and all the action scenes lack impact because we know the outcome.

Did you ladies notice the connection between The Tragedy of Darth Plaguis the Wise and Anakin's birth? I love this subtle fact. "There was no father. I carried him, I raised him, I can't explain what happened." -Shmi Skywalker to Qui-gon, episode 1. "He has the highest concentration of midichlorians I've seen in a lifeform. It's possible he was conceived by the midichlorians." -Qui-gon to the Jedi Council, episode 1. "Darth Plaguis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise he could influence the midichlorians to create... life." -Palpatine to Anakin, episode 3. The clear implication being that Darth Plaguis created Anakin in some kind of experiment or ritual. Palpatine probably killed Plaguis in his sleep shortly after discovering this experiment had been a success, at which point he said "we will watch your career with great interest." -Palpatine to Anakin, episode 1. This is the reason Palpatine took a liking to Anakin from the very beginning. He knew Anakin was Plaguis' miracle creation.

I've heard George Lucas say this is a bad way of thinking of Grievous. He's not meant to be anything like Vader. Their motivations are different, their origins are different, and most of all, Grievous is not a Sith. They've very different. The only similarities are that they're both scary, partly robotic, and killers of Jedi. Grievous consented to his robotic body, does not care about anyone but himself, and scoffs at the Force.

Great Reaction! I think the best way to wrap this up this saga for you and the family is to react to "Before The Dark Times" by a MrRazNZ. It's about 3 minutes, 50 seconds. https://youtu.be/WytHmlDWEgk

clone wars movie and clone wars series on netflix next :)

Jar Jar Bink's character was supposed to be different in the prequels, but the initial reaction to him in Episode 1 was negative. Seeing this, the director hastily rewrote the script, but it's widely believed that Jar Jar Binks was supposed to become a Sith Lord: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rHyf0FBvt4

After watching Episode 3 again, I like it a lot more than the last time I watched it. My favorite hobbit is Samwise Gamgee by the way.
