I've actually been so excited to watch the next one, waited until I saw your edit was done :D So I'd only seen first Hobbit once in cinema, that was great to watch again, esp. the extended. This one I only saw in the cinema as well, and the third one... Haven't seen it yet! :O Oh and did you see Peter Jackson chewing on a carrot in bree? :D Just after 1 minute in

Hello, lovely gals! It was such a pleasure to watch the first part of DoS with you. It's been a while since I've seen this movie, and it was even better with a company :D Btw, Dawn, I think you are mixing Kili and Fili ;) Unless I've been hearing it wrong. Fili is the older, blond one, and Thorin's successor, and Kili is the younger one with dark coloring and infected leg, who had quite a lovely moment with Tauriel. Speaking about Tauriel, there's been a huge split among the fans, since she wasn't originally in the books. I believe they've written her in, to have at least some diversity gender-wise, but some folks were not happy about that. Myself, I do not mind her at all, but I'm not a purist when it comes to the Hobbit. The only thing I was a little meh about, were the undertones between Tauriel and Legolas, which I really didn't care about. Her and Kili on the other hand, strangely worked for me. My favorite relationship in The Hobbit is definitely the one between Bilbo and Thorin, but Kili and Tauriel had me emotional as well, especially in the last movie. I'm bracing myself for that one, because it's going to hurt... But before that, I'm really excited for DoS part2. Hope you all stay healthy and awesome as always!

Hi Lee! I'm so excited you enjoyed our reactions to this! Part 2 will be up later this week :D I love these movies, especially watching with Mom and Kim! I only saw parts of the third movie... and heard about the outcome of certain characters and was too upset to watch it, lol. I totally missed PJ chewing on a carrot!! LOL! That's hilarious!! Thanks for your support! :)

Hi again kati! I love everyone's comments here and always look forward to yours!! You are so right about Fili and Kili! I totally thought I had that right and I'm so wrong! LOL! Both are great, but I love Kili's story arc with Tauriel! I only saw pieces of the third movie and what happens to certain characters just breaks my heart... did their deaths happen in the books? The beautiful Starlight music playing alongside Kili and Tauriel scenes are just so moving and so sad in the end. I pouted for days after I heard what happened in this movie and refused to watch it in theaters after that. LOL. The dwarves' deaths just seemed so pointless to me... but I understand why they did that I guess... I'm just a sap and love happy endings :D Bilbo and Thorin are epic together too! I love their friendship and how much they grow to care and respect each other! I know a lot of book readers are very hardcore fans and I very much respect that. For me, I love the idea of Tauriel. She's a great and fun character and really made me enjoy DoS more (alongside Legolas of course!). Legolas is always amazing and entertaining to watch battle anything. I agree with you about Legolas and Tauriel too. I like that they are friends, but some moments just seem forced/awkward sometimes when they're together. Tauriel and Kili do work well in my eyes :) A lot of laughs, 'awwwsss' and awe with them ;) Thanks so much again for your wonderful comment! I hope to have Jurassic Park up here within the next couple days! :) Yay!

Yes, all three of them (Thorin, Fili and Kili) die in the book :( I always think that for a story meant for children, their fate was pretty brutal. But then again, they weren't very developed characters in the book. These movies are far from perfect, but one thing must be said - they gave so much more depth to the dwarves of the Company. And I really love Martin Freeman's portrayal of Bilbo. I can be a bit of a sap as well, so I understand you perfectly. BotFA is going to be hard to watch, especially some extended scenes, which I stayed away from until now, because even seeing pictures got me emotional. Speaking about Bilbo and Thorin, I'm pretty hesitant to say it, lest some die-hard fans of the book-canon come at me with pitchforks, but by the third move it seemed that their relationship was a little more than a friendship. Never outwardly said, but the subtext was there. The acting and directing choices were pretty telling as well (at least to me), not to mention some comments made by the actors of Thorin and Bilbo. At the end, I guess it depends on the viewer :) As for Tauriel, she definitely needs more love. On a different note, I'm excited for Jurassic Park. Haven't seen it since the nineties, really.
