I uh, didn't check the word count on this one until after it was done. Since it's the first few chapters back I'm not splitting it up. But I think I'm working hard. (40,900 Words)

Welcome back! Hope your time off was restive. You were missed!

Thanks for all your hard work! It makes my work days better when I can relax at night with fresh TWI stories.

I'm so glad I chose reading to be my addiction.

Scott Soper

Another chapter of box? Cool! I thought replication was a bit too simple or incomplete.

Great chapter! Ohh boy printing money, I don’t see how this can go wrong at all, mhm… I’m quite confused by some of the blame being thrown to the Wandering inn crew this late into the story by their own friends. They themselves are the most open in mind to new things like necromancies and such. Feels a bit off character, for Selys espically. Though falling back on what you grew up in times of difficulties than the new ways ur learning within the year I understand, that is very human, to fall or relapse, but then overcoming it in the end. I feel bad for Chaldion hope we slowly see movement from him. Perhaps our dragon friend notices?

I wonder what would happen if one of Calruz's rat friends snuck into the box, or a Fraerling...

One of my favorite chapters! I love how things are going from the way volume 9 ended! It's been a long time since I've felt happy and excited about TWI. Sadness and crying is good to but im ready for something happier and this was perfect!

Not the smartest thing Lyonette's done — if I were her I would have tested the re-insertion prevention mechanism. Does it only prevent the exact same garlic bulb? Or all garlic bulbs moving forward? How does it determine the distinction between "types" of things? e.g. I would have tried inserting: 1. a different non-generated garlic bulb 2. a different varietal of garlic 3. modifications upon garlic, e.g. black garlic 4. any allium the problem is right now we don't know how re-insertion prevention works so theoretically if at any point they stop the infinite gold flow they might have locked themselves out of coinage, permanently.

Parts of this are really hard to read, with all the hate Lyonette and the Inn are getting. I sort of get where its coming from, but some of it feels REALLY overblown..especially from Selys! She was one of Erin's first friends! It's heartbreaking to see her turning like this. But grief affects people in different ways. Also very weird to see Lism come so far to be more the.. well, moderating voice, if not a voice of *reason*, per se. love the anti-landlord rhetoric. especially relevant to the real world. I bet Rose had a lot of thoughts about that, she seems pretty woke. (/affectionate) Did not see the Colfa/Lyonette friendship blooming like this, but I love it. She's almost a surrogate "cool grandma" (though I'm sure she'd hate to be referred to like that) for the kids, compared to Lyonette being a fairly young mother. The box. I really didn't even have enough of an idea to speculate what it'd do, so pretty much anything is a surprise, but this feels exceptionally interesting. Especially because I'm fairly sure there's more to it than what we're seeing. That long, complicated name implies more than it just being a "box of duplication you n only use once per unique item". As if it just being that wasn't dangerous enough. :) I have a feeling there's something else about it they have yet to discover. like not only is it transient in space, but somehow in time as well. Like maybe they can have it conjure things that were placed in it previously, if they ask they right way? We've already seen it responds to vocal commands. But that would just be.. too powerful. Infinite replication of anything you've ever placed into it? No, there has to be a cost. I can barely wait to see what it is. I'm also dying to know what happens to living things put into the box. Or magical things. Or magical living things. Like a certain wand bearing a certain seed. Talk about repopulating the dryads REAL fast. We've already seen that a garlic that comes from the box can bloom. Why not a dryad seed? (Actually now that I say that, that seems like INCREDIBLE forshadowing if its true..) I do love how painstakingly Lyonette made sure to prove that the things being created by it are DEFINITELY DEFINITELY REAL AND NOT IN ANY WAY EPHEMERAL, NO TAKE BACKS. Very much a contrast to miss Erin "oh wow fairy gold? neat!" Solstice. Lyonette not only wants to look a gift horse in the mouth, she wants to see its papers too. Oh, volume 10 is kicking off with an absolute bang.

Julie Mason

You're absolutely right, though compared to Erin's complete lack of thoughtfulness at things like this, the amount of skepticisim Lyonette showed by contrast is pretty refreshing. Erin gets shiny new things and is just like "cool, i shallt ake this at face value and give it no further thought". or at least she did in the past, maybe she's learning these days. :)

Julie Mason

OR A FRAERLING SIZED ERIN. INFINITE ERINS! CRISIS ON INFINITE ERINS! sorry i got excited.

PearsMan

Oh I didn’t even realize this would be so CRAZY. I wanna see it happen!

PearsMan

Small Erin sneaks into the box and takes over the world the next day. GDI shreaks thinking that’s not how it was supposed to work like with the Earth meeting they created from Erin cinema but it’s too late, a new era (Erin) approaches,

"They were too tall normally" it killed me, I giggled like an idiot for a good five minutes

This chapter made me want to go reread every chapter that features Narul. He was SO fun! I'm also looking forward to see what else will go in the box...

Amazing chapter. Adore the vibes and I adore Lyonette and wish I could give her the absolute biggest hug. Best mother, 10/10.

Love the chapter. I'm hoping Tessa survives and returns she was trying so hard.

Pirateaba, I have read thousands of books and thousands of stories under my short 30 years. I have had many favorites, and during that time I have noticed that some books and series were far better than others. Afterall, not even writes high quality book after book. But you do. Your my n.1 author. Its a absolute wonder and happiness whenever you release a new chapter. Thank you.

There were three hundred people crammed into the largest room they had. Lism cracked a joke. “These public forums are a new idea. Pallassian. We might have to get more space for it—assuming we can find it in the budget.” ----------- I don't get the joke. What's the joke?

Timothy Baril

Great chapter. Multiple laugh out loud moments. Wide range of emotional situations. Selys fight hits hard. Tessa situation is intriguing. Sad but interesting aftermath to the war. Feel sympathy for Lyonette and hope she gets a cool side to balance the serious side. Sad she lost her lady friends. Relc and Vale are cute. Mrsha could use some sweetness to balance the troublemaker rudeness. The coin stuff was a great addition, very educational. Just so much going on and it is so well balanced. Love your writing. :)

The joke is about having more space to seat people more comfortably in the meeting area as well as having money to allocate to the forums in the budget.

matt emmons

That was my first thought as well...then I said.....even if your banned from all gold moving forward...a nice big diamond might be even better. I like that they could speed up the replication I really want to see the super inn.

Maybe Someone

I thought it was because the whole forum is about how they have so much money from wealthy outside investors but those same investors are causing problems.
