Mermay 2020 #8 - Acheilius the Shark (Patreon)
Content
Sharks in the last week got a bit of coverage, thanks to a certain King Shark, he? I can say, at least, that the idea was conceived long before.
But the wink scene was too hilarious to avoid mentioning it.
Anyway, Greek Mythology has few stories about sharks, or better, shark-looking sea monsters.
Lamia, daughter of Gaia and Chronos, sometimes has shark attributes and gave her name to a genre of sharks, but she was also a vampire and killer of newborns on land, so quite confusing.
Instead, Acheilius, her son, was transformed into a shark by Aphrodite, and you know why? Because he boasted about being more beautiful than the goddess herself.
When you toss aside the idea that Acheilius was certainly that kind of ephebic beauty for comparing himself to a goddess, and gods are friggin' psychopaths, it's kind of hilarious.
The idea that this boy preserved his vanity even in his shark form and this species is quite lustful and vain. Always hitting on others, obviously when they're satiated, and finding more pleasure in the idea of being appreciated, that the sex itself.
And, oh yeah, the two penises. That's a big bonus for self-esteem.
(King Shark in Dark Justice and Harley Queen. Guess which I find the creepier.)
