Merman Design #2 - Sobek the Croc (Patreon)

Back on track guys, with another merman design.

This time quite different.

The inspiration comes from this article about mermaids biology, that discusses the appearance of reptilian merpeople, quite interesting, and I used the crocodile as a reference because I find the primal ravenousness of these creatures quite fascinating (and scary!) also the roars of the T-Rex from Jurassic Park are crocodile roars at a higher volume.

Also, there's Sobek, the Egyptian Crocodile God, and greek mythology merged a lot with Egyptian mythology. (It's called syncretism.)

The Sobeks are exactly how they look, powerful, voracious, and lazy. Quite decadent in their mannerism, they love to talk idly about philosophy, history and religion, since they're a quite ancient species.

But only when they are satiated.

The rest of the time they are friggin' dangerous, they can sprint for a long stretch on the land thank to their stubby legs. They enjoy raw meat, still leaving flesh, and they have to exert a lot of willpower to not eat also the other anthros.

A thing that in this world is considered cannibalism.
