Chapter 321: The Enormous Meatball

Luo suddenly released a Nen ball towards Netero beside him, with his own intentions.

The Nen ball, imbued with the ability of God's Hand, struck Netero and transformed into a protective membrane, covering Netero's body.

From start to finish, Netero remained calm. He glanced down at the aura membrane on his body, then looked at Luo.

"Just in case."

Luo explained his motive first, then pointed to the corpses on the empty ground by the shore, explaining to Netero the cause of the scene, including the Void floating on the lake.

"Most likely, the enemy was taken out by the Void."

After a brief explanation, Luo looked at the Void on the lake. Although there was no green smoke around, he maintained the Domain just in case. Even if it would consume unnecessary Nen, it was worth doing.

Before coming here, they had anticipated a fierce battle. Who would have thought it would turn out like this? Given the result, it wasn't entirely bad.

"Hmm."

Netero hummed softly, his face expressionless, lost in thought.

Among Luo's few words of explanation, he only cared about two points: one was the Void from the Dark Continent, and the other was how Luo determined the Void was from the Dark Continent.

The two stood side by side, silently watching the seven Voids on the distant lake surface.

After a while, Netero suddenly asked, "How do you know about the Void?"

In fact, Netero reserved his opinion on the origin of the Void. He neither believed immediately that the Void was from the Dark Continent nor dismissed the possibility outright. This was where he differed from Linne.

Linne's greatest regret in life was not being able to truly set foot on the Dark Continent, so Linne could stand firmly on the slightest possibility.

Netero was different. Having also been to the Dark Continent, he knew it wasn't his goal, so he wasn't highly interested in it and wouldn't lose his judgment over any fragmentary information.

Facing Netero's question, Luo vaguely answered, "The place where the Void emerged is an ancient underground ruin with some petroglyphs recording some information and tens of thousands of perfectly preserved corpses."

Without directly stating that he learned about the Void through the petroglyphs, Luo instead mentioned some things in the underground space. This was Luo's way of concealing the White Smoke Font while not deliberately deceiving Netero.

Hearing this, Netero merely nodded and didn't press further on the issue.

At this moment, Luo asked, "Chairman, how much do you know about the Dark Continent?"

"This is a taboo topic." Netero shifted his gaze to Luo, his expression calm, using the word "taboo" as a basic reminder.

Luo met Netero's gaze openly, as if he didn't understand, and asked, "Can't you talk about it?"

Netero raised an eyebrow and said flatly, "I don't want to talk about it, especially to a brat like you. I don't want you to know too much."

Perhaps it was a strange cycle; every ten years, one or two new generations with potential and interest would emerge. The last one was Ging, and now it was Luo.

These two kids had one common trait—they were both very interested in the Dark Continent.

Netero saw the hidden ambition deep in Luo's eyes, feeling troubled, just like years ago when there were always a few Hunters in the association who took risks as adventures.

Thinking of this, Netero sighed inwardly.

Half a year ago, he had temporarily dealt with Ging by exchanging conditions, and now another Luo had appeared.

"You seem to have forgotten something," Luo said seriously.

Listening to Luo's meaningful reminder, Netero's brow furrowed, and he immediately thought of the volleyball game bet. He still owed Luo a favor, and if Luo wanted to exercise this right, he could only compromise.

"Brat." Netero glanced up and said, "You want to use that favor here?"

Luo smiled and said, "I feel like it would be a waste to use it here. Besides, I don't have to get the information from you. Or rather, you're not the only one I can get information from."

Not only Netero, but also Linne, and even more sources, whether nations or unknown ruins.

Just as Luo was about to say more, a sudden roar from the lake island interrupted their conversation and caught their attention.

The prison structure on the island suddenly collapsed, like building blocks toppled by a giant hand, raising a large cloud of dust.

"Surprise, surprise...!"

A voice echoed from the dust, resembling a loudspeaker's amplified sound or a low rumble of thunder, reaching even Netero and Luo on the shore.

Hearing the repeated word "surprise," Netero's pupils shrank sharply.

The Ghost Lady's... Surprise Box?

Netero felt incredulous. Then he saw a giant square box emerge from the dust, collapsing the prison structures with just a movement.

"Surprise, surprise...!"

The gigantic Surprise Box kept emitting the same monotonous sound.

Boom!

It moved a distance, knocking down the high walls around the prison.

Looking at the giant box's appearance, Netero's brows furrowed deeply.

From the appearance, it was indeed the Ghost Lady's Surprise Box, but it wasn't supposed to be this enormous, and the Ghost Lady was definitely dead.

Could it be... posthumous Nen?

Most Nen abilities were based on vows and limitations, but Nen enhanced by death could break free from this equivalent exchange and become one-sidedly stronger.

Thinking of this possibility and linking it to the Surprise Box's abilities, Netero's eyes showed a serious expression.

"Those anomalies should have been created by the Surprise Box, hence retaining most of the monster's physique while being able to use aura."

As Netero pondered this, he saw the giant Surprise Box lift its lid and spit out a meatball larger than the box itself!

Seeing this, both Luo and Netero's faces changed, shocked by the grotesque sight.

The meatball emerging from the Surprise Box was enormous and disgusting, appearing as if countless human bodies were forcibly melded into one. Human body parts were clearly visible, clustering on the meatball's surface.

As the Surprise Box spat out the meatball, it instantly shrank back to its original size and fell from the sky.

At this moment, a scaled lizard flew towards the falling Surprise Box.

A person stood on the lizard's back, reaching out to catch the Surprise Box, then drove the lizard towards the shore.

The grotesque meatball, after emerging, rolled over, and countless human arms on its surface moved, pushing the meatball into a low aerial leap towards the Void floating on the lake.

The enormous meatball briefly hung in the air, casting a huge shadow over the seven Voids below. The next moment, the meatball crashed heavily onto the lake surface.

"Boom!"

A massive splash formed waves, spreading in all directions.

This sudden scene was observed by both Luo and Netero.

They were both astonished by the enormous meatball and noticed the flying scaled lizard and the person on its back.
