Chapter 580: Clash between the God and the Starships

"Summon the Moon Goddess Diana?"

Harof and the others aboard the starship heard Aila's roar of rage, and with peculiar expressions, they couldn't help but turn to look at the Moon Goddess's body, used to power the ship, encased within the alchemy array.

"It seems the Moon Goddess cannot come out, but we can certainly send you to meet her!" Victorio laughed heartily, using the ship’s loudspeaker to project his voice into the skies of the foreign land.

Aila frowned slightly, but before she could clear her thoughts, she saw the massive circular front of the starship suddenly split open, revealing Victorio had activated the ship’s weapon system—a Scattering Particle Cannon!

In the next moment, a hundred thousand neutron clusters erupted in the atmosphere!

Unlike their calm release in a vacuum, these neutron clusters displayed terrifying potency the moment they left the launcher, reaching a third of the speed of light. The air molecules hadn’t even had time to form a sound barrier before being torn apart, forming a hundred thousand lengthy vacuums, which then vaporized into a plasma state due to the extreme heat produced by their velocity.

The residual effects of this explosion were even more powerful than those produced by a nuclear blast. Utilizing her divine senses, Aila clearly saw the incoming neutron clusters and instantly reacted, but with less than fifty kilometers separating them, they needed only 0.0005 seconds to reach her!

The hastily constructed defensive position could not deflect such numerous, dense scattering neutrons, and almost instantly, her body was overwhelmed by this terrifying neutron assault.

Following this, the city behind her—Arcana—shattered. The divine barrier, which had stood undisturbed even under seven hundred hydrogen bomb strikes, now crumbled like paper. The Moon Goddess's followers, who had recently become priests, bishops, and high priests and had not yet had the chance to realize their ambitions, met their end in utter serenity.

They witnessed the grandeur of the starship, floating like a city in the sky, and the attack came instantly. Resistance was futile; they perished without experiencing even a trace of pain, vanishing from the world in an instant.

In this horrific onslaught, their spirits were obliterated. The ground was furrowed with tens of thousands of deep ravines, stretching tens of millions of meters, marking another terrifying scar on this battered planet.

Only the indestructible neutron clusters could achieve such a horrific impact at such unimaginable speeds.

Finally, the atmosphere began to slowly fill the vacuum tunnels left by the neutron clusters, while the elemental chaos in the void stirred continuously, the plasma-state elements faintly visible within, still emanating an immensely powerful aura...

"She couldn’t have just died like that, could she?" Harof, observing the dreadful scene through a magical projection, couldn’t help but speak.

At this moment, all that lay before them was a severely scarred landscape; Aila was nowhere to be seen. Harof had clearly seen her struck directly by the scattering neutrons—a blow that could dismember a massive satellite!

Aurora appeared relaxed, feeling that even if the strike hadn’t killed Aila outright, it would have severely wounded her.

The god they had once greatly feared, even going to war over, summoning the power of an entire continent without assurance of victory, now seemed not so formidable...

“Is it that easy?” Speaking from inside the ship, Lynn, who had not yet acted, interrupted their fantasy.

The power of a god was not so simple; if it were, the alien fleet that had reached the Moon wouldn’t have been annihilated. Moreover, don’t forget, this is Aila’s divine realm!

Indeed, just as Lynn’s voice echoed, a terrifying pressure emerged over the shattered city, and the violent elements in the atmosphere instantly converged.

Realizing this under Lynn's reminder, Victorio nervously looked around through the magical projection, searching for the newly appointed Moon Goddess’s whereabouts.

However, Aila was nowhere to be seen, and danger now came from every corner of this world. A fierce storm began to blow over the foreign skies. Every element in the void became a lethal weapon, and the intense hurricane sliced through everything like blades...

This was a counterattack from the plane, as well as divine wrath. The reason Aila didn’t appear was that the entire plane was her body, and these three ships were inside her body!

Without a target for combat, the massive ships undoubtedly became huge targets.

Yet these targets were hard; the protective shields fueled by the power of the Moon Goddess were incredibly sturdy, and the ship's hull could easily withstand a close-range nuclear strike. Nevertheless, facing increasingly severe storms, there was still a risk of crashing. Fierce thunderbolts flickered within the storm, hitting the ship’s energy shields with thick electric arcs, creating ripples, and rapidly depleting energy, while the storm and lightning grew increasingly intense...

Then,

a gigantic elemental hand, covering the entire airspace and burning with eerie starfire, fiercely grabbed the largest central starship.

"Don’t fight her here, go outside her divine realm!" Lynn advised, still without any intention to intervene. After all, this was a good opportunity to test the ship’s performance and gain combat experience against Aila, who had just entered godhood.

Before Lynn could speak, Victorio had already taken action. Inside the antimatter fusion reactor, a massive amount of energy was drawn out, gathered at the chamber of the launcher, and annihilated each other in a fusion, releasing an incredibly brilliant 【Annihilation Cannon】!

This beam met the giant elemental hand, instantly piercing the starfire in the void, blasting a large hole in the palm of the titanic hand, and the remaining force flew across the sky, striking a distant high mountain!

With a burst of violent noise, the towering mountain vanished without a trace, the ground crumbled inch by inch, and endless dust rose, obscuring half the sky...

As the 【Annihilation Cannon】 was launched, Victorio activated the ship’s propulsion system.

After modifications, the curvature engine could now adjust travel speed without needing to switch to a nuclear engine in the atmosphere.

Victorio directly stretched the speed to one-tenth that of light, planning to break out in one go. At such high speed, the ship would only need 0.3 seconds to escape the eternal star’s atmosphere, yet this time it took a full three seconds without completely leaving the area.

“Is this planet even larger than the Eternal Star?” Harof furrowed his brows, sensing something was amiss.

“No, our speed has slowed down!” Victorio said gravely.

Although there were no reference points nearby, judging from the shrinking of the ground below, the ship’s speed was far from as fast as imagined, even failing to reach one percent of the expected speed...

“It’s Aila’s divine realm that has solidified the nearby spacetime!” Lynn explained, unlike Harof and the others who could only guess, he could clearly sense the threads of space around them coated with Aila’s divine power.

That is to say, the entire space had been locked down, like replacing seawater with some viscous liquid, naturally reducing the speed of the ships within it.

They needed to expend much more energy to reach even one-tenth or one-hundredth of their original speed! In a way, the divine realm was the nemesis of the curvature engine...

However, Lynn quickly dismissed this theory, because if they were using conventional propulsion, they would hardly be able to move at all within the divine realm!

“Then let’s go faster!” Victorio immediately cast aside all concerns, directly maximizing the ship’s speed!

At this moment, the ten-meter-high lunar soil within the alchemy array shrank considerably, and the ship’s speed also increased several-fold!

A cold voice tinged with anger resounded throughout the planet.

“Stay with me——Starburst!”

Across a region spanning millions of kilometers, all magically transformed matter disintegrated under this fierce rebuke, with endless energy waves sweeping the area!

This so-called 【Starburst】 was a divine spell developed by Aila by copying 【Skyfall】, though the method of release was slightly different.

Whether it was a nuclear explosion, hydrogen bomb, or antimatter annihilation, these three fundamentally utilized the rules of the universe, so the magical power Lynn and the others needed to expend was very limited.

Aila, unaware that large masses of uranium-235 would spontaneously fission upon aggregation, relied solely on divine power to detonate atoms directly!

While this method was tremendously energy-intensive, the conversion rate of matter to energy directly jumped to fifteen percent, far surpassing the power of a hydrogen bomb!

Inside the ship, the piercing alarm continued to sound, a harbinger of the energy shield’s imminent collapse!

Lynn had raised his hand, ready to rescue, then suddenly lowered it...

Because the ship had finally broken out of the foreign atmosphere!

The universe of the foreign realm was an endless darkness, with no stars visible, and a murky fog obscured everything.

Aboard the ship, Harof and the others sighed in relief. As the main vessel, the ship remained intact, although the energy loss was substantial, with only half of the hundred tons of lunar soil left.

The other two newly constructed ships looked much more pitiable; their energy shields were directly breached, and their hulls were full of dents.

Undoubtedly, the alien special materials capable of withstanding a nuclear explosion had saved these two ships; otherwise, once the energy shields were breached, their fate would have been destruction and crash!
