Chapter 245: Reencounter

At the registration desk, over four thousand contestants are handled daily, yet such an incident had never occurred before.

Inside the hall, the noise was deafening as the crowd milled about in chaos.

Hisoka remained unusually calm. Seeing the girl at the counter unresponsive, he tapped on the counter to bring her back to reality.

The girl didn't immediately produce the registration form but first reported the situation before handing it to Hisoka.

Hisoka quickly completed the registration process and followed the girl's directions towards the passage leading to the first level of the competition venue.

Upon reaching the selection venue, there were about a thousand spectators in the stands.

Standing at the entrance, Hisoka surveyed the contestants in the ring, his eyes betraying his boredom as he deemed the group utterly weak.

However, before he could face Luo, he had to entertain himself with these weaklings for a bit.

On the 205th level, ring A.

The second match ended swiftly, and next up was Buhara's match, whose opponent was a man with unusually long arms, bare-chested and adorned with iron rings tightly binding his arms, assuming a formidable stance.

However, once the fight commenced, it ended just as quickly with Buhara knocking him out in two hits, a clean and crisp end to the match.

With this, Luo and his two companions each secured a win.

After watching Buhara's match, Luo and Sanbica Norton gathered outside the venue to wait for Buhara to come out.

According to Buhara, they had to feast grandly after the match.

Despite Heavens Arena providing food and accommodation, and with an endless supply of delicacies, Buhara sometimes preferred to wander outside in search of different cuisines.

Before Buhara emerged, Luo had no idea that Hisoka had already shown up and completed his registration, nor did he expect that the registration area, already engaged in a massive brawl, would welcome three individuals from Meteor Street.

When Machi and her two companions arrived at the registration area, they only saw the ongoing melee, which had started from a minor dispute in the lobby and escalated significantly by the time the staff of Heavens Arena could intervene, leaving them to only watch helplessly as hundreds brawled.

"Even the way of registration is quite unique."

Uvogin observed the chaotic crowd, his eyes lighting up.

He approached what he believed to be the registration area, only to find a crowd fighting, mistaking it for the registration method.

"Idiot, it's obviously…"

Nobunaga started to comment disdainfully toward Uvogin but was cut off as he watched Uvogin charge into the brawling crowd, leaving him speechless.

"Never mind him."

Machi glanced at Uvogin and then proceeded directly into the lobby.

She had initially not planned to participate, but upon learning of the generous prize, she changed her mind.

Uvogin plunged into the crowd like a wolf among sheep, quickly taking control of the situation, or more precisely, he was beating up the children.

Machi and Nobunaga left Uvogin behind and proceeded to the registration desk themselves.

Outside, Uvogin was having the time of his life, punching one child after another, completely unaware of his status as a fugitive and even feeling somewhat unsatisfied.

"Haven't you eaten?"

"Is that all the strength you have?"

"Put more effort into it!"

The staff of Heavens Arena watched the chaotic Uvogin and the continuously falling people, dumbfounded.

Was this giant man actually helping?

Machi and Nobunaga completed their registration smoothly and didn't wait for Uvogin; they headed straight for the first level of the selection venue.

Upon arriving at the venue, they casually found seats.

They had just sat down when they simultaneously sensed a prying gaze and looked in the direction of the gaze together.

At about eleven o'clock, about two hundred meters away in the spectator stands, was a red-haired man sizing them up with malintent.

This person was Hisoka. Having arrived at the first level venue and yet to be called up, he was killing time playing with a deck of cards out of sheer boredom.

As soon as Nobunaga and Machi entered the venue, Hisoka immediately noticed them, akin to a keen sense of smell…

"It's them…"

Hisoka unabashedly stared at Machi and Nobunaga, licking his lips with his tongue.

Being from Meteor Street like them, Machi and Nobunaga had never interacted with Hisoka. However, due to Luo, Hisoka wasn't exactly acquainted but was aware of Machi and Nobunaga.

"Nice Ten, they'll make great opponents."

Hisoka didn't care about their identities; as long as they were formidable, that was all that mattered. He had been in the venue for nearly an hour, watching a bunch of weaklings brawl

, and felt utterly disappointed.

Now that Machi and Nobunaga had arrived, Hisoka's interest was piqued.

Unfortunately, he couldn't manipulate who his opponents would be.

Noticing Hisoka's unguarded scrutinizing gaze, Nobunaga felt extremely annoyed and was about to confront Hisoka but was held back by Machi.

"There's no need for that."

Machi said briefly, then took out her cellphone.

Since they were here, it was necessary to inform Luo.

Nobunaga initially responded coldly to Hisoka's look, then turned to Machi's phone, asking, "Are you calling Luo?"

"Yeah." Machi nodded, directly dialing Luo's number.

In the hallway of the 205th level, Luo and Sanbica were just in time to see Buhara come out when the phone rang.

Luo picked up the phone and saw it was Machi's number.

Having trained with Biscuit for a year, during that time, he hadn't reached out to anyone, except for the occasional calls from Buhara bothering him.

Now, seeing a call from Machi, he realized it had been a long time since they had contacted each other.

Sanbica and Buhara didn't ask who was calling, just watched Luo.

In front of them, Luo pressed the answer button and hadn't started speaking when he heard Machi directly say, "I'm at Heavens Arena."

"Where exactly?" Luo asked, surprised.

"On the first level, there are sixteen rings here," Machi responded.

"Got it, wait for me there." Luo replied and then hung up.

"Who?" Sanbica asked.

"Machi and them."

Luo put away his phone, slightly troubled. The first level, and moreover, sixteen rings, meant it was the venue for the contestants' first match. That meant Machi had not only come to Heavens Arena but had also registered.

Subsequently, Luo and his group took the elevator down to the first floor, heading towards the selection venue.

Upon arriving at the venue, Machi spotted Luo first and signaled him over.

Luo immediately headed towards where Machi was, not expecting Nobunaga to be there, and even less expecting Uvogin and Hisoka to be there as well.

By this time, Uvogin had already knocked down everyone outside preparing to register, a bit disappointed and somewhat unfulfilled, still unaware that Luo had already joined up with Machi and them.

Inside the venue, Hisoka also noticed Luo, and instantly, an emotional aura emanated from his body.

This aura, belonging to Nen abilities, made the surrounding people feel an inexplicable chill, while Luo and his companions sensed the aura immediately.

Luo looked in the direction from where the aura was emanating and upon seeing Hisoka's excited expression, his face darkened.

This guy also came...
