Chapter 131: Growth

The light in the forest was dim, but the fire was bright, illuminating Sasha clearly for Luo to see.

Her white top squeezed out an enticing cleavage, and her wheat-colored flat belly was free of any extra flesh. The faintly visible muscle lines indicated that Sasha exercised regularly.

When Sasha started to take off her pants, Luo timely shouted to stop.

Sasha stopped what she was doing and looked at Luo, pouting, "I don't mind, are you the one feeling shy?"

Hearing this, Luo rubbed his temples and smiled wryly, "You don't need to take them off. I have a way to dry them."

"Hmm?" Sasha raised her eyebrows, not understanding what Luo meant.

Luo didn't want to explain too much. He stood up, walked over to Sasha, picked up her clothes that had been taken off and hung by the fire, activated his ability, and directly extracted the moisture from the clothes before handing them back to Sasha.

Sasha, puzzled, accepted the clothes. They were dry, no longer damp as before, which surprised her, "How did you do that?"

"Superpowers."

Luo replied briefly, then crouched down, stretched out his hand to press on Sasha's legs, and drew the moisture out of the pants, flinging it onto the grass beside them.

"That's it, get dressed quickly so you won't be bothered by poisonous insects."

After drying Sasha's pants, Luo stood up, ready to return to his previous spot.

"Wait." Surprised, Sasha called out to Luo.

Luo turned his head to look at Sasha, waiting for what she would say next.

Sasha stretched out her finger and pressed on her white top, casually saying, "Your superpower is quite convenient. Help me remove the water from my top too; it's uncomfortably damp."

Luo's eyelid twitched, asking, "Are you serious?"

"Nonsense. You just touched it a moment ago to remove water, right? Or do you want to feel more?" Sasha stared with her amber eyes, not showing a hint of shyness.

This woman's personality… was quite straightforward.

Luo let out a sigh, walked over to Sasha, and with his index finger, touched the strap of her top, activating his ability.

Closing the distance, it was inevitable to see the scenery in front of Sasha's chest, but Luo's gaze was clear, focused on controlling his Nen ability to extract the moisture from the top.

Although he was only in his early twenties, he was not a big boy whose emotions were easily stirred, not shy about the situation.

Seeing Luo only touching the strap and his clear gaze, Sasha thought to herself that this guy might be young but had a decent level of maturity and self-control.

After helping Sasha dry her top, he crisply turned around, went back to his spot, and sat down on a stump, then closed his eyes to feign sleep.

The purpose of coming to the Amarlo Jungle had been fulfilled. Now, the goal was to quickly return to Amarlo Village, then take a boat back to meet with Mafando and Sanbica Norton, and head directly to Meteor Street.

The struggle with the violent bear made Luo eager to possess a handy weapon, and the true God with restrictions and vows was exactly the weapon he wanted.

Even though he was not skilled with a knife, it did not stop him from using one.

Any skill he lacked but desired, he would practice.

As for Sasha, she was taken along to be sent back to Amarlo Village.

And those species under the lake, he would explore them one day when his strength had grown stronger.

Sasha dressed and silently watched the campfire, the shape of the flames reflected in her pupils.

Perhaps because of Luo, being in the dense forest, she felt no sense of danger. Thinking about the terrifying tentacles in Golden Lake, she sighed softly, her expression slightly melancholy, feeling like she was at a dead end.

Finding the City of Gold was her life's unwavering goal, but the scene she had just witnessed made her realize it was more difficult than reaching the heavens.

"Gurgle…"

In the midst of the crackling firewood burning, there was a sound of a stomach contracting from hunger.

Luo slowly opened his eyes, looking at Sasha rubbing her belly, the sound coming from within her, presumably because she was hungry.

Sensing Luo's gaze, Sasha turned her head away, pretending nothing had happened.

"Give me your helmet."

Luo stretched out his hand, saying to Sasha.

"What for?" Sasha slowly turned her head back to look at Luo.

Luo didn't explain his motive, simply saying, "If you want to eat, give me your helmet."

Without another word, Sasha took off her helmet and handed it to Luo.

After receiving the dirt-covered helmet, Luo inspected it and commented, "If someone didn't know better, they'd think

you wear this helmet to go coal mining."

Sasha's face reddened slightly, annoyed, "Mind your own business!"

She knew the helmet was unattractive, but wearing it held special significance for her.

Luo smirked, removed the leather wrapped around the helmet, then threw it into the fire, and cut a large piece off a bear's paw, placing it inside the helmet.

Sasha realized what Luo was doing; he intended to use the helmet as a pot.

In such an environment, with limited conditions, the goal was just to cook the bear paw thoroughly.

Although he could perfectly integrate the two spices brought from Amarlo Village into the bear paw using his abilities, Luo chose not to add spices, wanting to try the bear paw's natural flavor.

"Sizzle…"

As the bear paw heated, it secreted honey-like clear grease, slowly covering the bottom of the helmet, emitting white smoke and a faint coconut fragrance.

"Gurgle…"

Sasha's stomach contracted again at the smell.

Luo ignored her, placing his hand over the helmet, slightly releasing his aura to seal the heat transmitted through the helmet inside.

Sasha couldn't see the aura and thought Luo's action looked a bit silly. However, when she saw the rising white smoke could only circulate within the helmet, she retracted her earlier judgment.

Having witnessed Luo's supernatural abilities, she was no longer surprised.

As time passed, a thin layer of grease accumulated in the helmet, and the jelly-like meat became more transparent, nearly textureless. Light reflected off it, sparkling.

When it was almost cooked, Luo removed his aura and took back his hand. The white smoke that had been sealed inside the helmet suddenly surged up like a smoke grenade, followed by the aroma of the unadulterated bear paw.

Smelling the aroma, Sasha sniffed, feeling even hungrier.

Luo, too, was eager to taste the bear paw. He took the scalding helmet with his bare hands, placing it aside, then quickly crafted two soup spoons from a log.

Without needing Luo's instruction, Sasha quickly sat next to him, took a spoon from his hand, and stared at the bear paw in the helmet. She didn't rashly act, knowing her place as a guest.

The host had not spoken, so naturally, she dared not overstep.

After crafting the spoons, Luo also made a wooden bowl, then scooped out two-thirds of the crystal-clear bear paw into it.

"The rest is for you."

After saying this, Luo started eating.

Sasha looked at the noticeably smaller portion of bear paw in the helmet, with no grounds to complain. She pressed the spoon against the bear paw, scooping out a small piece, and began to chew.

The texture was similar to jelly but more elastic.

The initial taste was mild, but it grew richer with chewing.

After one bite, she couldn't stop for over ten seconds, as if chewing gum.

"It's really delicious!"

Sasha's eyes gradually brightened, and after swallowing the bear paw, her body warmed up.

Luo had a larger portion than Sasha, but he quickly finished all the bear paw, closing his eyes in satisfaction. His average value increased by 3%, raising the average value of his type to 23%.

"After all, it's a B-grade ingredient. Even without any seasoning, it has such an outstanding taste, and the cooking method was quite simple, yet the flavor was unaffected."

If Luo used Gyo to observe Sasha then, he would notice the aura lines emanating from her body had thickened.
