Chapter 102: Relevant Information

Luo stood to the side, watching Sanbica Norton operate.

It was a very ordinary desktop computer and keyboard, but the software and network development was anything but ordinary, far surpassing the hardware.

"Can you just enter a name to register?" Luo saw Sanbica log into the Hunter Association's official website and complete the registration on the relevant page by entering a name without a surname, giving him a rather hasty impression.

"Do you know how many people register each year?" Sanbica asked.

Luo recalled for a moment and said, "A few thousand?"

"Wrong, it's several hundred thousand," Sanbica corrected.

"How is that possible?" Luo's eyes widened. In his memory, the number of people taking the exam was at most a couple thousand.

Sanbica couldn't understand Luo's surprise and calmly said, "That's the number of people who register each year, but only a minority make it to the first phase of the testing site. In my session, there were over three thousand candidates who found the first phase testing site."

"Do you understand? Even if over a million people register each year, it wouldn't be surprising because not many actually get to take the test. The screening has already begun before the official test starts."

"If there are more candidates who find the testing site, the examiners responsible for the first phase will increase the difficulty level, aiming to weed out most of the people. Like in my session, there were over three thousand candidates taking the first phase, but less than two hundred made it through."

"So, if there are a lot of candidates in the first phase, you need to be prepared."

Upon hearing this, Luo nodded in realization. The reason for the registration information being so brief, with just a name, is because of the sheer number of applicants each year, while the number of those selected is pitifully small.

"Nearly every candidate tries to research past tests to increase their chances of finding the first phase testing site. You..." Sanbica paused, seemingly recalling something with a look of helplessness in her eyes.

She suddenly realized there was no need to explain so much, because with Luo's strength, passing the Hunter Exam would be too easy.

The difference between those who understand Nen and those who don't is stark.

Compared to the annual candidates, those who understand Nen are like they have a cheat code, effortlessly passing the test.

Realizing this, Sanbica withdrew her gaze from Luo and focused back on the monitor, helplessly saying, "You really don't need to know so much. With your strength, passing the Hunter Exam will be very easy."

Luo gave an awkward smile upon hearing this. He was taking the Hunter Exam just to add pages to his book, never considering passing it, since qualifying would mean he couldn't take the Hunter Exam again, thus losing a means to add more pages.

"Alright, the clue has appeared," Sanbica, not noticing Luo's somewhat awkward smile, focused on the hint provided by the webpage and said, "The test location is the Amarlo Jungle."

"Where is the Amarlo Jungle?" Luo asked.

Without answering, Sanbica logged out of the Hunter Association's official website and then took out her Hunter License, inserting it into a device next to the computer monitor that seemed to be for card reading.

After inserting the Hunter License, Sanbica logged into a Hunter-specific information site. In a search engine-like interface, she entered "Amarlo Jungle" and clicked search.

Moments later, information related to the Amarlo Jungle popped up.

Luo leaned closer to the screen, browsing the information.

The Amarlo Jungle, located in the southern part of the Peter Continent, which is one of the six continents and the smallest among them.

"It takes about six days by sea to reach the Peter Continent?" Luo mused to himself while browsing the information, "The nearest port for boarding is the Mafando Port."

Sanbica nodded slightly, clicked a few times with the mouse, and the webpage changed to show the Mafando sea ship schedules for December.

There was only one, leaving at eleven in the morning on the last day of December.

"Can you buy tickets online?" Luo asked instinctively.

Sanbica thought Luo's question was silly but didn't scoff at him; instead, she shook her head and said, "No, and it's likely not about buying tickets to board. You'll only know once you get there. Anyway, only three hundred people will be able to board."

"Hmm," Luo hummed thoughtfully, casually saying, "Well, we'll know once we get there. By the way, can this website search for anything else?"

"Yes, what do you want to look for?" Sanbica asked.

"The ingredients of the Amarlo Jungle," Luo's eyes lit up.

Sanbica glanced at Luo, surprised, and directly entered the search terms.

The page loaded, directly displaying a

vast amount of ingredient information, the highest being grade B and the lowest grade G, totaling 689.

This means these are the known ingredients classified by difficulty, and there are only two B-grade ingredients in the Amarlo Jungle.

The Amarlo Jungle is known to have around thirty thousand species, with over fifty thousand plant species. Out of these numbers, only 689 ingredients are classified by difficulty, and there are no A-grade ingredients.

Regardless of the grade, the highest standard given by the Hunter Association is A-grade. It's hard to imagine what an S-grade existence would be.

"Show me the B-grade ingredients," Luo was only interested in the highest-grade ingredients.

Upon his request, Sanbica clicked on a subcategory, and the webpage immediately displayed information on B-grade ingredients: the paw of the Handhand Bear and the gallbladder of the Butterfly-Spotted Giant Snake.

In addition to the ingredients, information on the Handhand Bear and the Butterfly-Spotted Giant Snake was also provided.

Being classified as B-grade difficulty indicates that these two species actively attack humans and pose an extreme threat.

The Handhand Bear's terror lies in its rotund hands, whose speed and strength can easily be fatal. It is one of the dominant species in the Amarlo Jungle. The Butterfly-Spotted Giant Snake's terror can be summed up in one word: size.

After noting the relevant information, Luo said, "That's enough, now help me look up the gourmet competition."

"Do you want to become a Gourmet Hunter?" Sanbica asked while operating, because Luo's requested information was all related to gourmet, prompting her question.

"I have many interests, and gourmet is just one of them," Luo said offhandedly, probably envisioning many future professions like Gourmet Hunter, Treasure Hunter, Relic Hunter, and so on...

Sanbica gave him a look and reminded, "After getting your license, you can only choose one profession."

"Is that a rule?" Luo was surprised.

Sanbica nodded, not very familiar with this regulation of the Hunter Association herself, so she didn't elaborate further.

It seems the Hunter Association only tallies achievements and contributions in one field, like Sanbica choosing to be a Virus Hunter; regardless of whether her achievements are related to viruses, they will be counted towards her professional record.

The accumulation of achievements and contributions is key to earning a star-rated title and building reputation.

Luo plans to take the Hunter Exam every year, so he will not obtain a Hunter License. Whether the Hunter Association has such regulations or not is irrelevant to him.

If he makes outstanding contributions in multiple fields, even without a Hunter License or a star-rated title, he will still be widely known for his renown.

"The information is out," Sanbica suddenly said.

Luo's gaze shifted to the screen, browsing information related to the gourmet competition, with the first piece of information surprisingly related to Chairman Netero, including a video segment.
