Xeltos

This is gonna be legendary.

Jacob

Information : The background period of the show is 1997~1998.

Waluigi

Wah!

Koronator

Whoa! Knuckle's voice!

Khaos

You might have been misunderstanding the context there. It was not just the 2 days of teaching they showed, the rest of the 2 weeks student-teaching have been timeskipped as the crucial plot happened in the first 2 days, and he sat out the rest to get a successful certification. The talk in the teachers room reveals that the 4 of them passed, and some of them already got contacted to continue teaching there from the next semester.

This is one of the anime from the time I started to really watching them (I’m old lol) and I never got around to do it. So I’m starting the journey with you guys, and I already loved the first episode! For the context here (not spoiler, I did a little research after watching this episode): this anime/mangá is kind of a sequel of one where it shows Onizuka deliquent days. Not sure if they are showing any of that on this one. And a curiosity about the face expressions is that before the anime there’s a live action series of this and the anime got a lot of the expressions from the actor who did Onizuka on the show. Anyway, it’s gonna be a great journey with you guys!

Oh yes, and the opening is from one of the most famous bands in Japan, L’ar~en-Ciel. Their music is awesome and the vocalist sings the new opening for season 3 of Attack on Titan.

Erik

Ok I have never seen this show but just watching the first 20 seconds "with" you guys I gonna binge watch it and then continue your reaction.

Yuion

And another show im going to skip Hoping for better times I tried the first few episodes but it seems like trash again

Sen Ogino

Never watched this before, but I recognized Knuckle's voice instantly when I heard it. So like Meleoron said, he was born in the wrong decade lol Also, this reminds me of Gokusen but with a male teacher lol (Yes, I know this came first.)

Razzlion

Ah sweet! I love this show :D

JayKay

Greato T_T

Kopplex

Yeah, Kill La Kill is trash, now GTO is trash, you know what else is trash? your opinion.

Nox

This is one of the rare examples of a show that got a live action adaptation before the anime (manga was first of course).

Yuion

Well let me rephrase it for you. Maybe I overused the word trash. Background: Im watching anime for over 15 years now. I didnt count but I think im near or already in the 4digit in number of animes ive watched. Ive seen insane amount of trash but also great amount of insanely good animes. Maybe im tired of anime already but those kind of anime are mediocre at best. There are WAAAYYYY better animes out there and I know that I have some unpopular anime opinions. i.e. I found Akame ga Kill way better than Kill la Kill. The end was complete trash again but the rest was really good. I will try to use the word "trash" less in my opinionbased comments. Im sorry for that

Kopplex

There is no correlation between the value of your opinion and the number of animes you have seen in your whole life so no need to talk about that number as if it gives your opinion any kind of plus-value... I don't want to sound mean or anything but calling GTO "trash" shows that you really don't know what you are talking about, now don't get me wrong you have all the right to dislike it, to each his own, but when writing an opinion it would be better to write it in a way that doesn't make you sound like a condescendant child, personally that's how I see people like you who are running around and calling each show they didn't like "trash", this also doesn't seems like the kind of behavior someone who consumed many animes would have.

Yuion

You are right, there is no correlation between the VALUE of my opinion and the number of animes ive watched. But since ive seen so many i, as ive noticed, am way more prone to call animes trash because ive seen so many way better animes As ive said, i kind of overused the word trash and I apologized for that + I will try to use it only when its correct to use (i.e. SAO) I for example dont like JoJo but i would not call it trash. i watched 3 episodes and it was not my cup of tea. Maybe its just the artstyle that kinda pisses me off, that I got reminded of in GTO

Vern

The first episode is longer than this entire reaction so they had to edit out three quarters of the show. If you havn't seen it before you should definitely watch it on your own.

There is absolutely no way you sat through 4 digit amount of anime with that narrow view point. You eliminate shows based on what, art, "tried first few episodes", "Not my cup of tea".

Anonymous

Might as well eliminate 50% of the good anime pool for no reason, you've probably seen and picked a few shows of mal top 100 to praise and then not bothered with anything remotely different.

Silver Bard Games

I can sympathize. After watching a lot of anime, it's harder to get excited for each new series you come across. GTO can be a fun series in the context of when it came out, but it admittedly hasn't aged well at all. If the first few episodes don't appeal to you, you probably made the right decision to skip it. I would highly recommend giving Jojo another chance. That show will really grow on you, and their animation budget improves as it goes.

Yuion

I didnt always have that "narrow viewpoint" as you call it. There was a time where i watched everything. Good or shit. After a certain time or amount of anime you automatically close up a bit. You see really really good anime, and you see the worst of the worst. At some point you start to select only the ones that look interesting. Later on you have found your own personal pattern and prejudices and use that to determine if you are going to watch the anime or not. At some point I didnt want to watch animes with an older aesthetic anymore. At some point I got tired of slice of life. And believe me, I have watched so many of them its almost painful looking back how much time ive spent with this bullcrap.

Xeltos

Or pay and get access to the full length reactions. :P But then you have to get your own media. lol

sacombankmonkey

yes, very excited about this show. Tho the manga for this show imo is way better than the anime. Coming from Asia, I relate so much to this series. Go Onizuka !

pas

DUB ....and yeah the faces on this show lol
