You guys really do need to pay more attention to dialogues though. Theorising in the middle of episodes distracts you from important information. Especially since Caleb looks away a lot.

Princess Paladin

Yeah, the subtitles are on the screen. They're sitting right next to each other. They don't need to turn away in order to talk to each other.

Damiester

You guys focused too much on that "assassin" label cause you didn't pay attention to the context. They're all considered assassins being employed to murder the chimera ants. It's got nothing to do with Knuckle and Shoot's actual disposition or primary jobs. When Netero said he sent assassins, he's talking about the job of chimera extermination.

This is not important, so I'm gonna say it. It's Neferpitou that's making the puppet.

Nadeem Shaikh

I like your discussion, but its for the best you keep them after the episode is done. You will miss out things when the more heavier episodes arrive

Jaime Ruiz

I wish they released like 3-4 episodes a week:/

Jaime Ruiz

you guys should do hxh on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease.

KingKien1

Dunno why you're waiting for them to come up with conditions for their hatsu techniques. Most of the characters that we've seen so far don't even use conditions. They just gotta develope their hatsu more.

The puppet controlling Kite is Pitou's ability not Pouf's.

Sen Ogino

They confused Pouf's fabulous violin skills with Pitou's hatsu :(

I think it's important to recognize the connection/metaphor of nen and the ego. How we exercise our willpower-aka the power of choice-is directly rooted in the way we perceive the reality of our circumstance, and the ego is the lens through which we view reality. That's why the Nen abilities of characters in HxH directly correlate with the characters' personalities. You can only develop your Hatsu through examining yourself. So in regards to their training with Bisky, anything she can teach them can only serve to help them develop their selves/hatsu.

Yuion

Yea up until now it was not really a problem but as the arc progresses it would be better to slightly increase the pace at which they watch

I feel like discussions will get even longer as we progress further lol

My comment got deleted for some reason :( I'll just write it again lol To add onto your comment, the fact that they can choose whatever ability they can feasibly think of means that that ability is a reflection of themselves. Gon is simple-minded, so he came up with a very simple ability that fits him to a T. However, we've also seen how creative he can be if the situation demands it (breaking the wall during Trick Tower, using the floor tile in Heavens Arena, etc.), so even though his ability may be simple, Gon can come up with creative ways to use it. It fits his personality of doing things as he goes instead of making complex plans and strategies beforehand. He'll use whatever he has on his hands to accomplish his goal. Killua becomes increasingly self-sacrificing as time passes. During the Greed Island try-outs, Tsezgerra was shocked when he saw Killua's ability, saying that it should've taken years to be able to endure electricity. In a way, Killua already met his "condition" for his ability--to transmute his aura to something as powerful as electricity, he needs to be able to bear the pain, and he's had years of torture with it. In the show, we see Killua only doing reckless things for Gon (helping Kurapika fight the Phantom Troupe, holding the dodgeball, etc.), which somewhat parallels his ability in that he has to sacrifice his well-being to obtain power or in this case, a larger goal (helping Gon do his Gon thing). Even Kite's ability reflects himself. His ability parallels his childhood that had constantly given him "bad rolls" (life of poverty and stealing food to survive), but he made the most of what he had. Similarly, while he can't choose his own weapon, he's able to make the random weapon fit the situation, as he's had to do throughout his life. Even the fact that his ability speaks and has a personality implies that Kite may have been lonely at some point. During his flashback, we only saw that he had animal companions, which are awesome, but can't provide the same connection and conversation a human would. Anyways, there are just my interpretations, so if you disagree, put down the pitchfork and leave a comment instead lol Also, all puns in this comment are totally intended.

nice discussion but you still missing some pieces in the puzzle in the story which will come in a few more episodes. Also they keep forgeting that Pitou's EN is freaking huge rendering Knov at Morel unable to come any closer from the nest.

Nox

Now that the 3 royal guards are all born...3rd slot?

Pink Octopus

3rd slot or we rebel!!! :D :D loved the discussion btw

Deantes

Come on guys stop watching new average anime series and give us 3rd slot already !!!

FiendishNoodles

loving the bro's ideas on knov's abilities, and (knowing that they can't read the comments here) they're gonna smack themselves when they realize he has to set the entry point first. v obvious in retrospect but not necessarily the most intuitive leap to make.
