I dont know if you'll see this comment from so long ago or if it'll even matter, but, in the books, Mary Sue is not really a "Mary Sue" and more like what a Mary Sue would be if she appeared in the real world with real world rules and not Mary Sue rules. Yes, she's powerful, but she has no experience, she always get her ass kicked when facing not Tanya but just some of Tanya's underlings, she has seen Tanya in the distance but never managed to get close to her. She's justice-seeker, like all Mary Sues, but her army always punishes her because she keeps disobeying orders. There are many instances like that, I have yet to read up to the last few books, but I love how the author used Mary Sue to make fun of the stereotype.
