I'm glad you guys enjoyed this episode. I, too, enjoy the occasional time spent with the side characters. This show has such a wide variety of quirky (pun intended) characters, a few that make you say, "why is this person even here?". I've seen the show through the end of season two, so hopefully without spoilers, it has not disappointed me in terms of developing all of them. I'm excited to see you guys reactions as it goes along. BTW, the rock head dude is Koda. One of my personal favorites is Mezo Shoji, and if it's not clear, that's tentacle arm dude.

Filler really gets a bad wrap because of shows like Naruto or Fairy Tail, but when done right, filler can be great. For me, as long as the episode is well done, contributes the series and characters, and is compelling, it doesn't matter to me if it was in the original manga or not! I'm in no way a purist, I would never be one of those people who just "skip all filler" episodes. In fact, some things that are considered "filler", I actually find better than original material done panel by panel perfectly. I've skipped quite a few episodes of HxH while I was watching it since I either didn't care for the story or they were padding out the story. And as far as I know most of that is original material. In the same breath, I will say that I am one of the people who likes the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist, better than the Brotherhood version, even a majority of that is all "filler"! In that same way, this episode did a lot for Tsu's character and so, I appreciated it and I would never tell any watcher to "skip it" simply because it wasn't in the source material.

Make sure to watch the end credit scene when you watch episode 20, it's important to see! :>

Well... Removing gravity's influence on a body and making it weightless are the same thing. Weight is a force, calculated by Mass*(acceleration due to Gravity). So when acceleration due to gravity is 0, weight is 0. Uraraka's Quirk makes things weightless (they still retain their mass, obviously) allowing her to lift and move objects that she would never be able to move normally. So yes, I imagine she could Hulk-smash people over her head - though it might take her a little while to accelerate more massive objects. XD

Uravity has the potential of becoming an incredibly strong hero depending on how she uses her quirk and how well she learns to activate it. Her power negates the effects of gravity for whatever she touches meaning it still has mass but not weight. Then again I don't think that's really the ability and I don't think going into science that much is really going to help either.

This is canon guys

I'd imagine Uraraka being able to chuck buildings at people by making them weightless while in her hands, but reverting it while it's flying at the enemy.

I don't remember if Horikoshi was the one who wrote this filler episode, but he did design the characters and drew some art on his twitter to celebrate when this episode aired. https://twitter.com/horikoshiko/status/896285737875759104 (that is also one of my favourite expressions of Bakugou ever)

This story is canon. The manga actually references Tsuyu fighting smugglers during her internship; The anime decides to actually go into it and flesh out the details of what happened. So honestly, even if it's "filler," the anime didn't just make something up out of whole cloth.

I'm not sure if you guys have been seeing my comments, but PLEASE STOP LOOKING AT THE EPISODE TITLES BEFORE WATCHING THE EPISODES, even if it's just seconds before you click it; look away if you have to. I know you guys like to speculate based on the titles, but especially with titles like "Hero Killer Stain vs. UA Students", and "Shoto Todoroki: Origin" you're already gettting spoilers, the latter title not showing up until the end of the episode so that you don't have a clue during the fight who's going to win, and for the future episodes, including 20, 22, 24, and ESPECIALLY, ESPECIALLY 25, not knowing the titles will give the best genuine reactions. Please trust me on this one.
