Okay, so those of you who were here before iCarly or have gone through my backlog will know that I have long promised a long video analyzing McDonald's and specifically weird McDonald's in America. In fact, it was once a stretch goal on this very Patreon... Except, for some reason, stretch goals no longer exist.

Anyways. I think you will all be very happy to learn that the project has officially begun! Although quite quietly in terms of my online life, my friends will tell you that this obsession has consumed my every waking thought.

As I write this, I have officially filmed 15 unqiue McDonald's, with 5 bonus "retro" '50s McDonald's on the side. This all started last year, when I filmed two locations on Long Island. But then a few months ago, I joined Billiam in Florida to record a bunch of locations there. But I think it was my visit to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for Shrek Fest that really got this project properly back in my blood, as I am fully dedicated to the cause.

By the end of October, I hope to have gone from 15 locations visited to around 23-25. Counting the '50s locations, it will likely actually be about 30. My final goal is to visit at least 50 for the final video, and I have started thinking heavily about how to approach forming a narrative out of this footage, what I want to analyze, potential intermissions, etc.

Now, I have long wanted to post some kind of preview to Patreon of the material I've come up with. At the moment, my current idea is to maybe make a series of videos previewing locations I visited. Maybe once I week, I'll post a new location and everyone can give their thoughts. Or maybe I can group them by trip, etc.

I certainly would love to hear people's suggestions on locations to visit. So far, I have done a long series of locations in Florida (including "EpicMcDorl", the location with PIzza), a Lighthouse McDonald's in Wisconsin, a few odd but not themed McDonald's in New Orleans, and Cowboy McDonald's, "Automatic McDonald's" and Influencer McDonald's in Texas.

Next, I plan to visit New England, Connecticut, New Jersey, Detroit, Oregon, California, Tennessee, Arizona, North Carolina, then Indiana and Ohio. A lot of these trips are just work related with tangents, a few are to visit family. But it's certainly a big investment and I'm hoping this topic does really well and people are excited to see all this insane stuff!

I'm so upset, we had a 1960's themed McDonald's in Yakima, WA for so long up until a couple years ago, they completely demolished it and replaced it with sad beige McDonald's 😔

I don't have any interesting McDonald's locations to recommend myself, but I just want to say that I'm really looking forward to this one. It might be my most anticipated video of yours, since I find this specific genre of video to be pretty interesting and relaxing! I guess one random recommendation I can give: If that works out for you and is thematically fitting for the video, I would definitely appreciate some footage of your actual trips to all of these locations (as in, how you travel there - by car, train, plane etc.). I just find road trip videos to be such a relaxing vibe, even if just as small inbetween sections of a longer video!

If you haven't gone to Pennsylvania yet, there's a McDonalds in Uniontown PA that is where the first Big Mac was sold. I went there a few months ago and there was a little museum that was cool. Reccomend

As an Okie, I need to make sure that you are aware of the McDonalds on the Will Rodgers turnpike in northeastern Oklahoma. It’s built on an overpass above the highway, and is pretty iconic to anyone that’s had to drive though that area. It also got a shoutout in the song Choctaw Bingo by James McMurty.

Harley Cyn in AZ here! If you want to visit a unique one, go to the blue arches in Sedona. It's the first McD's in the world with a turquoise M and an adobe restaurant. The town has stringent requirements for businesses to blend in, so.... teal!

Adding a rec for your California visit!! There’s a McDonalds near me that’s completely fake. Like it looks 100% real, proper brand elements/designs etc…. but like most things in LA sadly, it’s a beautiful shell of a hollow interior. Seriously, there’s no food. It’s for shoots. https://www.google.com/search?q=mockdonalds&rlz=1CDGOYI_enUS931US991&oq=mockdonalds&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIGCAEQRRg7MgYIAhBFGDsyBggDEEUYO9IBCDIwMDJqMGo0qAIAsAIA&hl=en-US&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#
