Okay, so I am toying with the idea of working on a video reviewing Garfield movies. This video would specifically make the goal of reviewing every single Garfield TV movie, theatrical film, straight-to-video film, and even a few unofficial movies.

With this in mind, I have a conundrum. Basically, my Dad will be starring in two videos next year: one for April Fools and one for Father's Day. These videos will form a narrative of sorts, where I (Quinton) will be missing while Dad takes over the channel. I very much was hoping to not interrupt me, partially for the narrative but also because I want to give people space to finish the first video.

Now, the Garfield movie releases on May 24, 2024, halfway in-between Dad's two videos. So, presuming it is not delayed, I basically have four options.

Option 1: Release the video before the film drops to kind of tie into it, but don't end on a review. This video would probably drop a week before April 1 and would likely end with the setup for the April Fools project.

Option 2: Interrupt Dad's two videos. The idea here is I would release this video the week of May the 24th, with the review of the new animated film tacked onto the end. This review would have to rely on clips from the trailers, promo images, etc. A possible idea here is to film the entire thing in a hotel room, thus tying into the whole "Quinton is missing plot" (but I don't really like this idea, it's pretty bad at the end of the day).

Option 3: Release the video directly after Dad's videos, meaning it's my first video after coming back. The video would drop a month after the film comes out.

Option 4: Release the video around two months after the film comes out (July 2024?) to tie in with the likely digital release of the film. This way I'd have an actual copy to review, instead of relying on cam rips or trailers.

How does everyone feel about this? It's something I am seriously thinking about now that I'm hoping to escape the iCarly void and pray that my brand will survive past the novelty.

I think option 4 is the best. I think it prioritizes your content over worrying about the algorithm and I think your videos are so high quality they will do well no matter when they release!

I think option 4 is the best, having a proper digital copy is a big bonus + it will allow more people time to have seen the movie

Curious: are you gonna possibly review Garfeld the Musical?

Well I was ruled out by votes. Haha. I think you should release the main video a week before April 1st, and then a solo review of the new movie after your dad's videos.
