114 - A special (the 5th) Sketch of the Month (July) - 🏆✨ (Patreon)

A bit surprising that 1 character ended up on each step of the top3 platform for this month, even after the changes in the rules (as in multiple votes couldda been given out by one patron).
Overall the polls got 24 votes from 12 patrons; 7 voted only once and 5 voted multiple times. Hm.. idk if I should take this as a positive change in the process of votes or nah.. Anyways, I thought I'd only use this "multiple voting" option for the months of July and December, the rest would be like before (as in one vote is available for the nominees).

Now let's talk about this month's special competition (which was special cuz it's my birth month, thus the twist in the rules too):
- Elsie Bray (Destiny2) got 5 votes, making her step up to the 3rd platform.
- Mayday Parker/Spider-Girl got to the 2nd place with 6 votes.
- and idk if this should be a surprise or not, but another symbiote got to the first place: Mayhem won this month! 🏆

Aaaaaand this was a character I've heard of for the first time when I read the list of nominees. xD
It was really hard to find reference pictures of her, tbh. Cuz like none have a strict pattern or look for her. So this final sketch is kinda made-up, as of for her pattern, for sure.
- I've talked over at my discord that while I was editing this drawing in photoshop, way after finishing it, I realised I've made some mistakes. Not big ones, but was enough for me to be bothered by it until I fixed it. xd So a good pillow should be puffy, right? and when it's puffy, it gets folds when ya lay on it. Well I had those drawn, but the sides of the pillow looked like it's flat, so I had to go back to that and correct it. I promised at discord I'll show how the pic looked like before, that's suppose to be the last pic in the post (and has a WIP sign over it). So it's like an "after" and "before" pic right after each other.

Mayhem's pose was inspired by an asari pic sharing I got from a friend. I just started sketching and didn't stop until I was done. I had my own changes on the pose, I'm not even sure it's anatomically correct. I did not check any anatomy or muscle build references for this, I was working with what I've learnt so far (and I was checking my hand a bit).
She's suppose to be biting her finger, or at least having it in there as a playful (inviting?) gesture. Also that's why there's a lil heart symbol next to her too.

I enjoyed colouring this, didn't pushed myself too much with that part. I also like how the part under her body almost looks like it has some watercolour effect. Or at least that's how I see it. I used a Marker brush for those lines and added a "multiply" layer effect to achieve this look.

Eventho I planned to, There's no "Arist's pick" for this time, so I have time for and can work on other projects that are waiting for me (like #105 and #99). To have something nice for this year's Art summary year thingy for this month.
EDIT: 2 days later I did an artist's pick anyways.... xd
