Random - Frozen Flame emojis for official contest (Patreon)

Hey sinners,
As I've mentioned before in my very long post previously, I did some lil drawings quickly of this game once again. On the game's twitter page, an emoji contest was announced, held on their discord server, and 3 people could win a key for the game as a reward. I've never won anything in such contests, but I felt like I wanna try it.

So I joined the discord server shortly after. As seeing the submissions from others, I felt like I don't have a chance. xd There aren't much, but there are indeed some great and great-looking ones in the line.

I was trying to approach the project to create more suitable emojis in small sizes, on the other hand. I know these are gonna be used in shrinked size, so it has to be visible and recognisable in that form aswell. (The other submissions don't look like they'd all go well in small tho.)
I drew mine in big size, and kept re-sizing em to see how it looks like in the same size as a normal emoji on discord. So basically I went for functionality aswell, and to create pictures that would fit to express emotions in writtings or to use em as a reaction for pics and texts.

- First off I came up with the idea of a simple heart-eyed smiley. I wanted the 2 hearts to be different in size on purpose, kinda expressing "madly in love"(?) I guess. Having blue heart-eyes would also be differ from the usual, so I gladly made it. If a player gets a mask like that, they'll have blue eyes so this would fit in that case.

- The second idea came for the usual hype emoji, or rather this smiley: \o/
I was thinking of the "hands in the air pepe" or as google names it "hypers pepe" as a reference, but I also wanted to keep the straightened arms.. so I kinda mixed it.
Somewhy I wanted this to be different than the previous, I painted the body darker, and cuz in the game, the enemies look like that, I had to colour the eyes differently too (I think their eyes are pinkish or purple). I wanted it to have sparkly eyes, so I added those white dots, also some sparkles outside. I did a few other variations like trying out what if there's a background too; the blue colour was chosen in thought of when they are defeated in game, they drop blue orbs.... also it looks better than if it was red (when they get possessed, a red cloud appear around them before they attack you).

- Then cuz I liked how this came out, I re-drew the first idea but with thicker lines and more rounded and smaller head. As a small emote, I think this came out better. And I've chosen this one as my first submission.

- I had another idea, like making a thinking Hornhead emoji, but he has such a big head.... xd [ I stopped writting this post after that sentence and went back to drawing and made it... xd ]
SO YEA, I kinda managed to make the Hornhead emote aswell. The challenging part was to make that hand visible while the pic is shrinked down. Cuz of the dark colour crowd around that part, it's hard to make that part out. Making the skin coloured a bit brighter didn't help, but adding a thicker outline and some stronger highlighted parts did the trick. The picture looks fine on phone, it was a bit messy on my pc's screen.

- When thinking about what to create, I also got the idea to use one round masked fella again; showing them with angry thick eyebrows that were created with a pen which is also visible in their hand. I didn't even try to draw that down, cuz I knew it would be so small, the things that matter on it would be barely visible. Also thought it wouldn't be chosen cuz it has negative emotions attached to it (altho, cuz one could submit 5 pics, I could have done it.. but then cuz I chose 3 variations of one emoji, I reached the limit).

The pic in the post shows how small the emojis are in discord at the bottom.

So, I managed to finish these BEFORE deadline, which is unusual from me (while writting this post there's less than 4 hours from that xd). Ruined my sleeping schedule once again, but I made it. At least this gives me some sort of accomplishment feelings. Which is good, I'm also kinda proud of these.
I'm not sure if I'll publish these, maybe at tumblr if I ever do it..

Also it felt good to see that when I uploaded these, the very last one, the thinking Hornhead instantly got some love reactions.. must be the magic abs. xd

Funny how all 3 of my "hypers" emoji got added to the list too xd Also a bit funny to see how they named my emojis; the first one is "heart-eyes", so there's no change in that, but the next 3 are "woot", "happy" (the sparkly one) and "excited" (sparkly with background). ;w; And Hornhead is called "hm" xD That also got a lot of reactions under the pic, even one from the admins. ✨👀 and the only one receiving letter emojis saying "THIS" out of all submissions (that was also approved by same admin). 🏆 🎉

Funny how my first contest I got in, I won there too, in a way, hah.
So yes, this definitely made it worth the work. :]
