93 - 2 wip gif (Patreon)

I was looking at photo references, sfm posings and other anatomy showing pictures while working on this.

This was the photo reference I mostly used for the posing:

I couldn't find the source again, nor if I've saved this on my pc somewhere (I got this from the art file itself), but I know this's from tumblr. Still a good source for nice pics and motivational texts ha.

The 2nd pic shows the first wip stage of this art:
At first, by mistake, I was making this pic with a thick brush which was too thick for my liking in the end. I did not like this pic that much with such lineart, found it as it was too cartoonish(?) not that serious type even when the overall effect wanted to be more passionate somehow.
As mentioned before, I tried to make the leash part out of the symbiote suit that Spidey wears. Maybe cuz of the brush thickness, I did not like that either.. I've liked the fact that it was hiding some part of Spidey's chest cuz I was also unsure about that part if it looks good or nah. xd
After 2 days I've visited this drawing again and re-drew the lineart part, but with a thinner brush this time, and as I've expected, the picture became way better. Tried to make a "normal", one linened leash and kept the look of it. I actually used the same colour for the lineart of it as Spidey has, but cuz of the shading that's not really noticable(?). I also wanted to make it look like it's part of the suit with the same colour, and on the other hand, I was worried it would be too faded in aswell. Also the leash did not cover more part of Spidey this time, so the parts I wanted to hide got exposed. I'm not sure the proportions of this pic are good or not, I was thinking maybe I'm too used to draw bigger guys (Venom) and now this smaller figure's just confuses me xd But then (as seen in the gif) I've lifted Spidey's collarbone a bit which immediately made him look more accurate.
I draw my Venom with a big breast/chest part, I wanna keep my Spidey and Carnage with a smaller size there. Like me some variations between characters. B]

The wip gif actually shows 4 wip pics;
- 1rst is the pic with thick lineart
- 2nd is the thinner drawing but with darker arm for kinkbiote (the one holding the now thin leash) and lower collarbone for spidey
- 3rd pic fixes said things as making her arm lighter, lifting Spidey's collarbone and also making the kinkbiote's neck a bit thinner at the bottom part and removing some shadows there.
- 4th and last pic is the final picture with darkened contrast.

I've decided to use some blue colours around spidey's outline while thinking of the old cartoon when Spidey had nice blues around him while wearing this suit. The colour is not that intense here, it's soft here, shows just as much as it fits the scene imo.
