                                                                           Arcadian Live
A few seconds prior to the Reaper Procedure’s initialization

“The Winter Wolf has finally managed to elemental shift! He’s done it! He’s really freaking done it!” Mikaela shouts out his excitement with his eyes practically glued to the screen. Meanwhile screams and applause echo throughout the viewing room from the millions of viewers watching.

However, Mikaela’s excitement begins to turn into confusion as he begins to notice a strange, white energy moving around the blizzard and seemingly joining with it. Before he can say anything about it, the screen itself goes black.

Mikaela stares at the screen for a few seconds as silence spreads throughout the stadium, only to wince as the audience immediately turns against him for answers.

“Where did he go!!!” “Show us the battle!” “I want to see the Reaper of the Blue Moon in all his glory!” “Show us his highness!!!”

The host just looks around in confusion before messing with his menus for several seconds. But that only seems to make him even more confused as he glances back up to look at the still-pitch-black screen.

“This isn’t my-” he begins to say once he notices the other commentators giving him confused looks as well, but he cuts off as a loud chime echoes throughout the viewing room. It is then followed by a deep voice that sends shivers down the spines of anyone who hears while drawing their attention to the center of the viewing room, high up in the air where a strange creature can be seen floating in place.

The creature has scales as black as night, with two pitch black orbs slitted with vertical red pupils for eyes and four arms – two of which are tipped with two razor sharp blades instead of hands while the other two have humanoid hands tipped with claws. It has two legs, and two draconic wings with a long tail.

“The viewing of The Winter Wolf during this battle is prohibited by The Reaper. If you try to bypass this somehow, you will be punished according to the supreme one’s whims.”

Mikaela’s eyes widen in shock, and he turns to look at the blacked out screen again.

‘Is he awakening completely this time?’ he thinks while ignoring the outrage going on within the stadium at the strange creature’s declaration. ‘Actually, I think I recognize that white energy that was filling the blizzard before the screen went out. Wasn’t it the same energy that joined his ice element while he was awakening back then?’

The vampire is drawn out of his thoughts by a loud and terrified scream. So he looks down to find the creature holding one of the viewers – an abyssal demon – by the neck with his tail while floating above the main stadium, not even a hundred meters from Mikaela himself. His jaw then drops open in shock at the sight of the viewer’s body beginning to disintegrate into black wisps slowly from the outside inwards until they vanish entirely from existence, leaving nothing behind but the remaining echoes of their screams.

‘Did… did that thing just kill someone in a viewing room?’ Mikaela thinks while slowly inching away from the creature.

“Moderator ID 1017899356482126 under the name Helvark Loarn has been terminated for attempting to use his authority as an executive to break through the System block set in place by The Reaper over The Winter Wolf’s livestream.”

His words leave the entire viewing room in complete silence. But it doesn’t last long before hundreds of thousands of viewers begin leaving the room in mass.

Mikaela just gapes at the creature who cranes its head to look around for a few seconds, just to disappear again without another word.

The vampire – along with the viewers still remaining in the viewing room – all let out a collective breath that many of them didn’t even realize they were holding in the first place as soon as the creature’s pressure is lifted from their shoulders.

‘That must’ve been a void creature,’ Mikaela thinks to himself before glancing at the screen again. ‘Looks like The Reaper has taken an interest in The Winter Wolf. But is that really a good thing?’

Mikaela suddenly jerks his head towards Wolf’s information shown above the blackened screen as his species begins to blink in and out rapidly – just like when he last began to awaken.

                                                                                                   Wolf

More and more ice element joins with the blizzard as time passes, despite the ice element being eliminated by the creature’s… whatever that purple liquid is. I’m honestly not sure if it’s its mental element or spatial element.

Although I guess it could be both. I think I’ve heard of people combining elements before.

It’s just that I can’t do that thanks to my status as a-

I focus my attention on the error message for a few seconds before focusing on the monster again.

That’s kind of redundant. The button to cancel the change is missing, so why am I even getting this message in the first place?

I focus on using a large portion of the eternal ice element mixed with whatever that other element is in my body to slowly freeze the Centurion Boss from its feet up. All while still reading the error messages as they come in.

Uh, that can’t be good. Or can it?

I’m honestly not sure.

The Centurion Boss suddenly lets out another screech that somehow echoes over the sound of the blizzard – that or I’m just able to hear it because I am the blizzard now – before charging through it towards Sapphire’s location.

Shit, Sapphire!
