Being more prone to distractions and avoidance leads to pileup, frustration, guilt, and overwhelm. I often get “stuck” and constantly feel like I’m behind. When I finally do complete tasks... I feel so ashamed of how long it took that it’s hard to feel proud of myself for the accomplishment.

I am SO doing this right now. It’s time to get busy grading papers and putting Canvas pages together. Oh, and clean the kitchen. And all the other things. Aah! So what did I do this weekend? Hyper focus and read three books. 🙄

So relatable! The work tasks are building up, especially the more challenging ones/boring ones, and I am doing everything but. The shame is overwhelming, but still not doing them.

Oh mercy, that's me. I finally took down my christmas tree yesterday. It feels like an Accomplishment, but it's also ridiculous for it to be an accomplishment.

So real. My boss just reminded me - nicely, but for like the 3rd time - about a terrifically boring task she wants done, so what am I doing? KNITTING. With an audiobook about dinosaurs. I'm 45% enjoying it, 55% feeling guilty and ashamed, but that 45% has inertia on its side, so...
