I want to give a serious thank you to everyone who's contributed toward my work this past year! While content wasn't as "plentiful" as last year (covid, hurricane evacuation, family health scare, etc), I'm happy to announce that everyone's monthly contributions (plus a generous contribution from my brother) have made it possible for me to finally upgrade my hardware!

I've never owned a PC that could handle what I've been trying to create. It's always been a standard laptop that isn't really meant for creating animations. 3D rendering has always been slower than helpful, Adobe Animate slows down during more complex scenes, even Photoshop gets slow when I want to create art at really high resolutions. And you can forget streaming myself doing any of that. Thanks to all of you, I'm finally free of all these problems! At least I will be once the graphics card I ordered is available again (estimated to be in stock again by the end of January).

For those of you who know more about PC builds, here's specifically what I'm going to work with:

- Intel Core i7-12700F 12-Core

- 32GB DDR4 Dual Channel

- 1TB NVMe M.2

- ASUS B660 Series | Intel

- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10GB

- 850W ATX 80 Plus Gold

It's all thanks to you that I can finally ditch my ghetto workstation and stop worrying about my computer exploding every time I use a blur filter in Animate. I'll still use my MacBook for music production right now, since it can actually handle it; plus, I've already invested a ton into music software on my Mac over the years.

Things will definitely speed up once I get the new PC. The holidays will finally be over, and I'll have a brand-new computer to break in. Thanks again everyone! I hope you all have a great holiday season!

The Savant

You're gonna be blown away at the "night and day" difference. You always put so much gusto into everything, and now you'll have a PC to match that level of Determination. Even if we have to wait a little longer, that's okay, because some of us have had your back since 2006. Patience is a skill.

It’s gonna be great. I’m really looking forward to it. Until then, I’m still animating on my laptop.
