The last Unicorn: Lady Amalthea and Unicorn first look! (Patreon)

I hope you guys are having a great weekend! 

I've honestly been working on and off this week because I apparently either pulled a muscle or pinched a nerve at the gym on Tuesday and been having back pain since then (don't even know how it happened, I was lifting with my arms and not at all using my back 🤷‍♀️ )

I've finished Super Sailor Mars and I'm going to start editing next week so I wanted to drop on by here first and get you some JUICY juicy Behind the scenes for this project.

The design has passed through at least 6 revisions and this is the final edit now printed. I took the illustration attached as the actual base for the design of the model, I though it was some fan art I found on the web, but after some much needed digging, I found out that this is in fact an official illustration from the Artist that worked on the character design for the movie a couple of years before it was actually produced (hence why the design is a little off from the one in the movie), I fell in love with it and I knew that my boyfriend would have never even seen it himself due to how obscure it was. After so many failed prints, a couple of FEP films and like 3 liters of resin, the pieces are finally done and I'm working on them to add putty to fix some gaps cuz 3d prints are never perfect off the bat (as seen in my Eren video xD). We did take artistic liberties with the final design mainly for casting purposes, the robe doesn't originally have the belt, so we added that so that the lower part of her tunic will be casted in clear resin for that translucent effect seen in the illustration, also, she will include the butterflies (just not show here as they are very small, she also has tiny sideburn hairs flying, also now in the picture cuz the pieces are tiny and fragile).

The reason I'm doing this is because I'm not going to paint the 3D print at all, this is going to be a master to be sent out to have it professionally casted so it can have a way more workable resin quality then the printed one because this kit deserves the best quality possible.

A great deal of care and love has gone into this model, from revising tiny details (like her hands and nails, to her delicate face and the iconic look and style of the Unicorn, and not to mention the hundreds of printing hours I've spent on it as well, it's a labor of love dedicated to my boyfriend and from my boyfriend to you 💕.

I've hinted on my socials that there may be some copies for sale but nothing official, but I will drop the news to you guys here.

This will be the first ever kit Produced by me (Leona's Workshop 😁) and it will be sold in very VERY limited quantities, it's a fan project, I'm not a company and as much as I know that thousands of people would LOVE to have a copy, I cannot really produce that many (or want to).

This set will be sold as an unpainted kit (non scale but measures 25cm from the bottom of her feet to the last strand of hair on her head) but I will also be offering a limited quantity of PRE-PAINTED copies, I only have 2 hands so it will probably not be more than 5.

Prices are yet to be determined, but I'm going all out on quality, packing and even box, that will include a certificate of authenticity (as in produced by me, not that it's an official license product) and a special surprise gift for anybody that purchases a copy. The painted versions will also be numbered and signed by me. 

The artist that modeled her did an amazing job and my boyfriend got in charge of the revisions after I had given the figure as an xmas gift, which btw, he was the one that decided to share this project with a few people because it was just originally for him and nobody else 😋 And don't worry, I'll provide a link to the Artist's page once the announcement is done officially on my socials. Until I'm done fixing the gaps and sanding everything down, I will prime all the pieces and show them off on my socials to announce the project and to obviously invite people to subscribe to the channel for when the video of them will drop.

Once the master is done, I'll be sending it to the workshop to have it casted and it will take about 2-3 months to get the kits in, once in, I'll start filming the video (don't worry I'm also filming part of the production of the master). Preorder for the unpainted kits will be announced once the master is done and will be ready to ship around the time the video drops on youtube, and ETA and price will be released a little later for the Pre-Painted version.

I'll definitely film that Story Time for you guys about how this project came to be, but for now I hope you enjoy this patreon Exclusive look behind the scenes. 

Everybody here interested in a copy (for the unpainted or painted ver.) will have first dibs in the list, the rest of the remaining copies will be for the general public and it will be a first come first serve basis, so if you want to make sure to snag a copy for yourself before everyone else, be sure to keep this hush hush 👀
