The episode showing up the girl that being captured and rescued at first season, they should added the flashbacks to add the dramatic scene at that moment, though I have to say the episode quite nice pacing and more like slice of life mixed with calming story, Lidenfilm surely do their best (and I'm still bitching their ability to push the limit of action scene) Looking at GS now kinda reminds me with story of "Heroes of Thousands Faces" but instead the GS doesn't have any superior weapon nor gift by the gods.

Yeah, I was really expecting a flashback to show exactly who the elf girl was. Kind of strange they didn't add one for her but had a flashback for the wizard boy's sister. The action in the first season was definitely better.

When he was building the rope it was to use like the blonde hair he used to choke out the goblin champion. The crying elf is the same one from the first mission this team went on, where she was chained to a wall and they all thought that Goblin Slayer was going to kill her. The sister is also worried about what happens if they lose an adventure and elf archer gets captured by goblins. I don't know if the anime will explain but the forest fairies grew everything in the elf village. Those seats are mushrooms and its explained that the forest grants the elves the power to shape nature into things like furniture.
