Even strong mares can falter in weakness.  Great characters can do bad things.  I wouldn't say this is character assassination for Spitfire, as early on in the series she certainly had feelings for Soarin' and tried to tease him.  Early on he seemed okay with it.  But today we gained some new depth on them both.

In a moment of weakness for Soarin', Spitfire too has a moment of weakness and tries to take advantage of a situation.  Instead of her usual gruff self, she tries to seduce.  We get a revealing line in panel six, "Spitfire! Please! Don't try this again!  You had your chance! We're done here!"  You had your chance?  Were they a couple in the past?  Hmmm.  If so why did they break up?  Were they cheating when Soarin' was with Dash?  Is this why Soarin' was so harsh on Zephyr and telling him that he himself "grew up?"  There is so much it could possibly be. What are your thoughts?

Soarin is a great man.

This episode made me think, "what the hay". Reading the text reminded me of the earlier episode, but I guess it's easy to get my impression on Spitfire overshadowed by what's on the show when it's been so long since the previous episode...
