So it recently came to my attention that most people recognize their Patreons with entire posts or videos highlighting all who supported them and made things possible.  Maybe that is a good thing, maybe not.  So how that would look it probably a comic that would go public on the Tumblr blog that showcases all your lovely Adorkable Patrons!

If you think this is a good idea, let me know.  If you think it is a poor idea and you like remaining secret supporters, let me know.  This isn't an election to determine who wins, but I would just like to know your thoughts on the idea.

I personally am a person who supports things, but don't care if I get recognized.  I actually prefer to not be called out or put in the spotlight for something I do. Some people love some attention for their support and good deeds.  Either way, it's great!  What do you all think? Please, share honestly with me.  I won't think of you differently. ;-)

THANK YOU!!!! I just received payment from everyone and I cannot thank you enough.  You are truly giving people and I hope I continue to provide you with what you enjoy.

Mmmh, this is an interesting thought. Recognition is nice, and there is something nice about receiving a shout out and to know that the support we give is adding up to support you. I know I play a bit of a balancing act and try to support work that I find relateble, I only have a few patronages here, but I try to reserve them for artist like you who do work that I find relateble.

Indifferent about recognition. Wouldn't mind either way. If itsa opt-in/opt-out thingy, then opt-in. Would be nice I think

I would like to promote all the people who support this series. We love you all! Ha! But we also realize some people might not want to be recognized or have their name posted in public for certain things such as a comic. It's sort of a tricky issue to work around.

To be honest, i don't mind, i mean, i just enjoy to help others, and if they want to show our names in a sort of "thanks", there's no problem with that, at least for me.

Hello! I think you’ve got the right idea above; allowing some people to be recognized if they want to. What I’ve seen others do on their Patreon accounts is set a certain higher amount that guarentees their name is included in the credits or sidebar of the content. Alternatively, you could do what I’ve seen some other artists do: acknowledge their patrons at a regular interval with a post.

I think we can all come up with an idea. For example, if people want a version of themselves drawn in an Adorkable way, that can be done. If people just want their name thrown on a page, that can be done too. It will be a more long-term project but definitely something I want to do, especially for the people who have stuck around so long and put up with my shenanigans.

I - in all honesty - am ambivalent to the idea of being recognised; a part of me really likes it but at the same time it is nice to support you for you! I know some people like the rewards and seeing it... in the end, it's up to you :) ...this is entirely unrelated but that art piece is adorable as all hell, for the record.

I guess my main concern would be that the recognition doesn't detract from the main comic posts. I've found that Tumblr posts that have shorter descriptions are easier to process. It also makes scrolling through my dashboard easier. :P So, maybe something like a monthly post thanking patrons? I'm already supporting another artist who puts Patrons' names in one big thank you post at the beginning of each month. I also like the idea of it being opt-in.
