Foreword

Over the past couple of months, I've had requests from supporters to expand upon my earlier Carpark map - https://www.patreon.com/posts/42195061 - I finally got around to doing it!

I have tried my best to push the bar yet again on this map in terms of detail, lighting, mood and technical illustration. This Market Street map took me 16 days work full time, from ideation all the way to the final product.

Some happy accidents and discoveries were made along the way and I shall take these learnings and apply them on future maps for sure. One such example was signs of "life" - people, crowds. A night market without people walking around wouldn't be much of a marketplace would it? The addition of crowds is something I have not seen done on battle maps to date, and I am really happy with the final turnout.

I'd like to thank all of you as without your Patreon support, I would not have been able to do this full-time. Market Street is a tribute to all of you.

Description

Welcome to Market Street, a popular region in the city where Cyberpunk heroes can bathe in the neon glow of giant signboards, and also find more than they bargained for.

Market Street is adjacent to Japan Town and it also marks the border where the old city buildings blend in with more modern architecture.

Take up a reconnaissance or sniper position on one of the many rooftops and balconies. Wade through the crowds of people as you tail a target, or use them as meat shields in a fire fight. Collateral damage is better than finding yourself in the trauma ward, again.

Visit the many market stalls. Buy a box of ramen noodles or interrogate the vendor to extract intel. There are so many RPG encounters possible with this map, limited to only the GM's imagination.
