Backstage for "The Little Red Hen" (Patreon)

The thought occurred to me while reading the original folk tale "The Little Red Hen" that the story really reminded me of conservative rhetoric about who "deserves" help and who "deserves" money from the government, and the erasure of the concept that everyone in a society needs to work together. So I came up with this.

After getting halfway through the thing, I realized it was coming out sounding like a polemic against housewives expecting some help with the chores, which is not what I was going for. I tried to tone it down some once I saw it going that way.

The writing style -- where it's almost like a children's story, except not quite -- is deliberate.
