That time of the year... (Patreon)

Good day everyone! It's about time again I let you know what I've been doing and what you can expect in the future. Is it too soon to start wishing people Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays? I dunno, but I'm adding a Christmas inspired drawing below just because. Once it gets closer to the 25th I'll have another one ready and will wish you all the best wishes etc. so I still owe you at least that.

So what have I been doing? Same as always, working on new scenes for the next FET build, but also adding some more small changes to older books. Think of stuff such as enlarging clickable areas for some villages, streamlining parts of drinking mini games so it'll take less clicking, but also some optimizing scripts so the game might load a tad faster etc. I wouldn't call it optimizing as much as I'd call it removing age old bloat, but all the same it's hopefully improvement.

Now, creating a build with new scenes etc within a month is challenging enough as it is during normal months and last time I already talked about chances of a proper build for December being slim at best. I'd like to have some off time myself and a chance to recharge some of my creative juices for the new year during the last weeks of this month. So here's what I'm currently planning. 

I'd like to release an updated version of FET this month without anything new. Just small quality of life changes and optimized scripts. It'll give me a chance to take a breather and fix some things which have been eyeing me for a long time. That way if any of my changes cause problems I'll have a chance to fix them and have everything being honky dory again when the next real build with actual new scenes gets released. I figure sometime during the first half of January.

So this won't be the last time you've heard of me this month, but just don't be expecting super new and exciting things in the near future. Just regular old useful but not creaming your pants kinda stuff. Both are necessary and it's way beyond time I tackle some boring behind the scenes stuff which I didn't have time for up till now.
