My favorite score of all time, it honestly makes the movie perfection, glad to see you are enjoying it too!

no worries about not being very religious. I'm an atheist and I love this movie! one of my favorite animated films of all time! FYI: Moses was bringing down the Ten Commandments to his people at the end. also, the scene with the final plague is what the Jewish holiday Passover is based around. so glad you enjoyed this film! I kinda knew you would. every song is kind of a banger haha

It's weird because I grew up Christian so I had spoilers for this movie lolol I don't know if it would have been more impactful for someone who is Jewish, but I would certainly assume so. It's also funny because I have friends who are atheists, Muslim, Buddhist, and everything in between and we all like this movie.

Recognize Ramses voice at all? that’s Ralph Fiennes aka Amon Goeth from Schindler’s list !

Yeah I am definitely happy they made this movie accessible to anyone, even though some references I didn’t understand still loved it.

Thanks so much for explaining! And the songs and visuals were so incredible loved them!

Really enjoyed your reaction, you were a party to watch. It is so nice to watch with someone who is experiencing everything for the first time, this is how I relive it as well. I am also not religious, only knew the key points in the story of Moses. Didn't matter, I 'felt' the meaning of the whole journey and I think it still can be relevant today. The movie still blows me away and the songs still make me very emotional and give me goosebumps. Especially 'Through heavens eyes". Awesome trivia: You can hear every cast member voicing the voice of God, but it made him seem like a pantheon of gods. The final idea was that the same actor who voices Moses (Val Kilmer) would voice God, so his voice gets pushed to the front, while the rest of the cast whisper his lines.

I'm so glad you liked this movie! I am Christian, but even if I were atheist, or some other religion, I'm confident this would still be one of, if not my favourite animated movie of all time. I will admit being Christian and familiar with the story does help give it a bit more of a punch, being able to understand the true significance of everything that happens. But Prince of Egypt is just nothing short of a masterpiece no matter the perspective you come from. They gave us so much more emotion than is present in the Biblical texts, so much more to become personally invested in. It's an incredible adaptation anyone and everyone can enjoy. It may seem somewhat morbid, but the Passover miracle (the one with the blood on the doors and killing of the firstborn) is probably my favourite part of the movie. They made it so impactful. It's beautiful... quiet.., sad... it's clear that it was the absolute last thing anyone involved ever wanted to happen. It leaves me in silence every time.

One thing I've wondered about the bible is that I thought that God was against violence . I know that it was because of The Pharaohs choice not to free the slaves. I guess you never want to say no to God.

If you like this I think you should react to The Ten Commandments.

This film also brought together two of the most epic singers of their time Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.
