from mkb to tbr&s I will always be true. LOL!!!!

Lethal Weapon 2, A Bronx Tail, and 2 episodes of The Sopranos, and we're only 2 days into the year. 2023 is gonna be fun! I know time is precious, and I shouldn't wish it away, but I really wish it was next Monday. The next 2 episodes of The Sopranos are my favourites from all of the first 3 seasons. You're in for a treat.

Amen. The next three episodes are really strong, and really pay off the character building we got in episodes 7-10. Next Monday should be a great reaction! I was about to make a similar comment.

Gotta love that Janice considers the incident with the Russians the worst night of her life and not... oh you know the night she shot her fiance. And you two are right on the money, these next two episodes are going to be firecrackers. Episodes 11-12 are two heavyweights in the series.

Robert Boyd

I can’t wait for your reaction to episode 11. It is my favorite episode of the entire series.

Funniest visual from these episodes is definitely newly single Artie dancing with himself at the Crazy Horse opening. It really takes the old guy at the club cliche to a tragic new level. Other than Paulie’s surprisingly cogent monologue on the reproduction habits of snakes, and “Fuck you, Santa!” the funniest line of these episodes may be, “That Ralph’s a real find, Ro. Don’t let him get away.” Yikes!

I forgot something I meant to share in my other comment. I am Italian-American but I did not grow up on the east coast. So when my family visited east coast relatives, I was asked if I wanted gravy on my pasta. I looked at my Grandpop like he lost his mind! I pictured the kind of gravy that you get with turkey dinner, which I think is how the whole country outside of the east coast thinks of it.

Robert Livingood

You're right, Marcus,I gave a bit of an explanation for this several weeks ago, but it's not even all East Coast paisans who say it. It's really only Philly, NJ and NYC metro area. You won't hear it in New England, or even Delaware and Baltimore--just the center of the Pizza Belt. It's a bit like the Neapolitan quirk of softening hard consonants and chopping off of vowels (eg Capocollo becomes gabbagool) which also only happens in in the same areas,. This is due to the historical preponderance of Neapolitan immigrants to PHL/NJ/NYC to the extent that most Italian Americans in the midl Atlantic, regardless of where on the boot their people came from, also speak this way. Hell, I'm Calabrese, but I grew up doing it, too. .The origins of macaroni and gravy, I could not begin to explain.

Marcus Cato

That is spot on, my man. These relatives were all Philly people, and the whole family is from Naples or the surrounding area. We are Nabboly-dobboly as AJ says. 😂
