Patrick McGoohan (The Warden) became famous in the 1960's for playing secret agent John Drake in the series Danger Man. He followed that show with a highly regarded science-fiction/spy fiction/psychological thriller hybrid that he created called The Prisoner. A sort of 60's ancestor to modern day prestige limited series. It's a very trippy show. He was a supporting player for most of his career. He was in David Cronenberg's (The Fly) breakthrough film in the USA called Scanners. By far his most famous latter years role was as the villainous King Edward I in Mel Gibson's Braveheart.
