0.142 Installer fix (Patreon)

For those who had problems with the 0.142 installer, please download the Pure 0.142b base and install again.

The former installer contains parts of Pure (PurePlanner app and Pure controller), which are still in development, so i removed it from the base data. Therefore the installer outputs some error message.

Those error messages does not cause a problem with installing the other parts of Pure 0.142.

If you still have problems with the installation of Pure 0.142, please try to manually copy the files:
1.) open the Pure 0.142.7z (or 0.142b.7z) and go into the folder MODS/Pure 0.142/
2.) copy the 4 folders (apps, content, extension and system) to your AC root folder (
\steamapps\common\assettocorsa)

Please check your AC VIDEO Settings and set "pure" as PPfilter. PureEYE is removed!

Peter thanks again for your effor! But are you, at this time, collaborating with Ilya to better develop Pure/Sol? Do you have any updates on the release of the new "preview" version of CSP?

No problem installing: the VR script is a great improvement. with 45 fps on an AMD 5500xt in VR.

Puddles and wet roads (rain) are a feature of the custom shader patch (preview version only) and have nothing to do with Pure.

Same here. Except I have issues with wiper traces on vehicles. The trace would only be visible from the interior. Disabled 0.142 and it works just fine.

Have also just tested it out and can confirm it. No wiper traces (outside) at 0.142. When switching back to 0.115, it works again. No change in the CSP version.

The same issue here, But can't get rain with the current CSP 0.179 preview and pure 0.142.

my csp version is 0.1.79-preview5 but I see yours as 0.1.79-preview62. Am I missing an update?

I do not know what happen But when I installed pure 0.142 CM it switched over to CSP 0.178 I had to reinstall CSP 0.179, now rain is working. Thanks.

Is Pure Config broken? I just get 4 buttons - Save Load Import Export. None of the Clouds/Night tabs etc options are available

Did you use the install script? Install_pure.bat Maybe also try to use the uninstall_pure.bat and then reinstall via install_pure.bat

I just updated to the 0.142 and installed the high res skydome and one of those two broke the night sky. It used to have the nice one where you can see the cosmic dust and galaxies, and now it's straight black with some scattered white dots as stars. I'm on Quest2, I don't know if that is a bug or anything. Does anyone have this issue? I'm on 0.1.79 Preview BTW.

I just try to do it realistic. Can you see galaxies with your eyes in a city or near cities? But just select no clouds weather and open Pure Config app, goto "night" tab and uncheck "stars brightness adaption".

i just installed the skydomes from pure 0.142 (im using csp 0.1.79 preview 5 btw) over the skydome from pure 0.102 and i looks worser, how can i solve this problem cus if im installing bakc the skydome from pure 0.102 it looks as it should, pls someone help me

Please help, the in game apps like pure config and sol don't work. In pure config app - the sliders don't work, when I place the cursor in them, they disappear. Changing any options basically doesn't do anything... Here is screenshot on imgur: https://imgur.com/a/uABkscY

You mean Sol Config app is not working. Pure Config app is only for Pure. For Sol you must use Sol Config app....

Hellow Peter. I had set up video setting => Rendering frequency : six faces per frame. But Pure checklist still show that i'm set at stastic, how to fix it?

Just ignore it, if you have this setting. Could be Pure Config can't read the setting....

Hi Peter, i have a problem when using OpenVR. I have to "reset Pure" every session in-game, in order to get the correct brightness. When I start in VR the picture turns really dark after 1-2 secs. Only reset fixes this. Is there a way tot fix this?

Which version of Pure you have, this is an old problem and was solved already. What pure version is shown in Pure Config app?

Hi Peter, did a fresh install of it all today. AC via Steam. CSP, Pure and Natural Mod. So SCP 0.1.76 (upgraded from 0.1.73 when I read the Pure instructions) and Pure 0.14b. For PP filter I used the freshly installed Natural Mod Filter 14

Just try to use CSP 1.78. Actually it's realy an old bug. Are you sure you have Pure 0.142b running and not an older Sol version? What does the Pure Config app says in its upper text line?

Hello Peter or other guys who might help. I have Pure 0.142 and I use pure PP filters. I like the pureCandy one but it get's noticably darker when in 1st person mode than in 3rd person. I tried different cars, even cars without tinted windshields or without roofs and results are still the same. Is there something I can do to fix that? The only fix I found so far is to switch in to 1st person, switch PP for some non-pure one and put pure filter back. I made screenshots for comparison here https://imgur.com/a/0mIBXke

If you open the Pure Config app, select the "PP" tab and use internal exposure mix slider to adjust the balance of Cubemap Brightness Exposure and Autoexposure.

Just a little thing I found out - have to change the value everytime I start the game. It seems the SAVE function doesn't keep this setting. EDIT: nevermind, got it, had to save the script settings beforehand

You save the Pure Config settings with "Save". The values you see under the "script" button are script settings. Every ppfilter script can have different UI elements like sliders or checkboxes. To save your setting of a script, use the "save script settings" button below the script UI elements.

So have been playing around with some settings a bit and with sol 2.2.5 and the latest version of pure the weather / lightning seems to reload, the pure config app force closes and the weather seems to reload, what could be the cause of this? Liking it so far, VR has not seen this good in like ever :D ---- Fixed ------ This was related to OneDrive syncing files hence the restart of the pure apps due to syncing the config files!
