I finished the work on Sol 2.0 alpha!

Beta 1 download:

At this point, I will no longer integrate new functions. There will be no longer main changes to the code. While i play with it, i will hunt the last bugs and maybe i will do little changes to the Sol filters.

While it rests in this stage, the PPFilter modders have time to adapt there filters and i can do the documentation and some public work.

I think the huge changes of Sol 2.0 was worth the work. Its much lighter now, the graphics are much more consistent and as you can see on the picture, it easily produces pictures which looks pretty real.

I wanted to thank You my patreon for your support!!!

But Sol has not reached its end. For the next versions i will add new cloud layers. I will try to optimize the clouds and especially their look. Another big part will be the integration of CSP's new rain features and the whole control of this.

Hi Peter thank you for the updates. Is there a way to disable the change in contrast from the exterior to interior cameras. This makes a huge difference with an HDR monitor, as the exterior cam now has way more contrast than the interior cam. Speaking of which, it would be great to have the new HDR from CSP supported with SOL. thanks!

I will make a HDR filter soon. I just tried tried it once with an oled tv, and it looked like its not working right atm. I will dig into this more. Which filter you are using?

great, I use Sol_Extra and some very minor tweaks on the DXGI part of the CSP settings. For me, the default CSP HDR settings look very dark so I have upped the brightness and gamma a little.

Hi Peter, great update, but since i always have to restart steam vr after ending a session and start new session from CM, otherwise the game can‘t start. Thanks for the great work!

Great, I look forward to it. It would be very interesting to see if the HDR brightness, gamma and exposure dynamically change depending on the weather, time …etc, rather than static fixed values, just a thought. Thanks again!

HI Peter, looks great man. Thanks for your hard work. I can drive and relish some of most realistic candy skies in a driving sim I've seen. I'm still trying to figure out how heavy those clouds can be on my FPS. Low settings are still dropping on me in higher resolutions. Ill test a bit more later tonight.
