The truth is, this exercise works great for both picking hand (fingerstyle) and fretting hand (chords). We will be learning and playing plenty of chords. On the other hand, the fingerpicking pattern is simple and effective. For me, this is a great fingerpicking ukulele exercise to integrate into your practice routine. Progress Report: Thank you, Marco, so much for this lesson. Over the past three weeks I have watched the lesson several times at slower speeds dedicating 30 minutes a day/5 days each week to practice. I've memorized all the chords by name and also by fret number {great recommendation}. Introducing the 4th string (G string) went very smoothly. Feeling ready to move to the second section. As part of my study process I started transcribing the chart (a line at time). I get satisfaction from logging my progress. Also, I want you to know how well your lessons are helping me achieve all my musical goals.
