From a simple chord played with the strumming technique to a more dreamy fingerpicking chord, the uke's sound and tone are always beautiful, calming, and enjoyable. In this ukulele lesson, I will show you how to play a simple ukulele fingerpicking pattern with amazing sounding chords. The chord progression is in A minor, and it goes as follows: Am | Cmaj7 | F | G | The fingerstyle pattern is also straightforward, and it is played with the thumb-index-thumb-middle pattern. Enjoy this lesson. 🎸UKULELE I AM USING: Makai LT80.

Hey Diana. Thanks a lot for your lovely words. I am glad you enjoy the lessons. I mean. The uke is great! Hehe. Keep me posted on your progress. Regarding Covid, yes, Italy was hit by the virus really hard. We still have many cases even though the death rate is now way lower. I hope the world will heal from this virus soon. Be safe.

Thank you, Marco. I'm so grateful for your pure, simple and serene instruction. It is very inspiring and increases my confidence because you make the learning seem achievable. So many people have an enthusiastic start when trying to learn the ukulele, but soon give up because it is more difficult than they thought it was going to be. Or they just didn't find intuitive instruction to help them stay motivated. Thank you, again.

What do the strums in (parenthesis) at the bottom mean?

Hi Tommy. The arrows show you the strumming movement (up or down). I am sure you also notice the curved line connecting the notes' head of some of the chords (music stave only not tab). When you see these lines (called tie), the first chord is visible in the tab below, but not the second chord connected to the ties. The tie joins the rhythmic values of two notes so that they are played as if they were one note. That's why you don't see the tied chord in the tab. You are not supposed to play it. In measure 17, we strum a chord, which is then tied to the next one in bar 18. So, the parenthesis is just a reminder that you are not supposed to play that chord because it is tied. Instead, you should just let it ring out. I hope this helps.
