Space Jam 2 seems to have been slammed and jammed by critics...and not in a good way. With a 32% score on Rotten Tomatoes-a lower score than the 44% score that the first movie has-it's proven to be a disappointment among critics and even fans of the original. Yet I cannot help but adore how much you enjoyed the movie in spite of its flaws. For every cringeworthy or weak moment (looking at YOU, Notorious P.I.G.), there was a funny moment or a clever cameo you didn't see coming (Rick and Morty was a pleasant surprise. And the Herculoids? THAT'S a pretty deep cut right there!). It's also pretty neat to hear about the throwbacks to the original movie...even the Nerdlucks made a comeback, showing that Warner Bros. actually remembered they were a thing 25 years ago. But what I like most about this review is how you were able to turn your brain off and enjoy the movie, even though-I presume-you knew going in that it wasn't going to be on the same level as, say, a Pixar movie. Yes, the movie is dumb. Yes, it has some serious cringe. Yes, it's basically a two-hour commercial for HBO Max and Warner Bros. in general. However, as long as you accept those, you'll surely find some things about the movie that you enjoy. I do want to check out the movie at least once, but since I do not have HBO Max, I'll either have to try to find the time to see it in a theater or, more likely, wait for the Blu-Ray and check it out that way. I will check out Space Jam 2 for myself someday, though...I give you my word! Thanks for another top notch Quick Vid, Saber...see you soon! =)

I know this movie is not for me, even as I understand that what joy I was able to eke out of the original "Space Jam" demanded shutting down even the lesser reserves of sarcasm and criticism I possessed at the time and turning way up the parts of my brain that go, "But I like Bugs Bunny...!" I'm glad you enjoyed the movie; in creating a review that explains why you were able to enjoy it even recognizing why others might not, you have done your job as a critic. Thank you.
