What ever happened to the cast of Degrassi: Next Class? How does Jamie Bloch feel about not getting her graduation moment on the show? And what is it like playing a non-binary character as a cisgender actress

Next week, Jamie Bloch sits down with The Degrassi Kid Podcast to answer your fan questions! 🎬

Jamie Bloch played Yael Baron on Degrassi: Next Class for four seasons --before the show was eventually cancelled by Netflix in 2017

Jamie started her acting career at only six-years-old, accumulating almost 20 on-screen acting credits before the age of 18. 🎭

After Degrassi, Jamie started working on her own independent productions including the 2017 short-film Reflections which starred herself and her on-screen boyfriend Spencer MacPherson (Hunter Hollingsworth).

"I feel.. in between. I don't feel like a girl, or what everyone thinks is a girl. I don't like makeup or stuff like you do. I really, really hate my boobs. But, I don't feel like a boy either." - Yael Baron

Was so rad when Yael found out who they were!! Was Yael the first Degrassi character you auditioned for? How long did it take you to get the part? Also, I always like to find out about the guest's history with the show, as a viewer.

Yael is a very Jewish name. Did you ever wonder what your character’s culture and home life might have been like considering Linda never dove into the background of Jewish characters? I don’t even think Yael was ever even mentioned in any religious context
