Caitlin's cheating, Joey getting married and one of our favourite main characters ends up dead? This was going to be a summer you'll never forget. 

Today we deep dive into a part of Degrassi's history that's never been seen before - the first draft of the Degrassi: School's Out movie. 

To avoid spoilers, I'll post a discussion thread later this week where we can talk about how the original script changes the entire future of Degrassi? If Joey gets married, what happens to Craig? Is Angela ever born?

I know they both made a lot of mistakes, but to me, Joey and Caitlin will always be end game. If there’s one thing I could change about TNG, they would have ended up together. It could still happen and in my mind they are together somewhere.

sadly i had a feeling that lucy would be the one to die, it’s incredibly sad but i can see what they were going for. i didn’t expect bronco to be in the car though! personally i never think joey and caitlin were going to work out. caitlin and snake would have been very interesting! i’m glad tessa wasn’t pro life and they did have her have an abortion, i think it added to her character showing how independent she was at the end of the day. i think a lot of the original script is super interesting though i truly can’t imagine if most of it had happened. simon and alexa’s wedding made a lot of sense to me, i thought it fit their characters. i would have liked to have see more of spike, kathleen, and some of the other main cast. also lucy’s film being a driving plot would have been cool! i always perceived snake’s scene where he goes off on joey as him being fed up with joey’s attitude all summer, especially with how many times he picked on snake for being a virgin. but knowing the relationship between him and caitlin is the original script actually makes even more sense. i loved this podcast! thank you so much 💗

I think Snake and Caitlin would've been adorable! I ship it. I think you're right about Tessa's abortion! It also showed how much more mature she is than Joey. He's still just this high school boy who wants to run away from his problems and blame them on everyone else!
