The final episode in our History of Degrassi series is finally here!

Why did Degrassi stop making The Next Generation and move on to Next Class? How did being on a streaming service change the show? And what lead to be Degrassi being finally cancelled for good?

This week, we're gonna dive into the show's most stand-out moments - like, Lola's abortion, Yael coming out as non-binary and the Syrian refugee students who enrolled at Degrassi.

And, we celebrate a special moment - when Degrassi reaches its 500th episode.

Thank you all so much for supporting me in this series. This is a project I've always wanted to work on - and thanks to all of you - I finally got to make that happen.

But, I have to know - in all of Degrassi's history- what's your favourite moment?

I will agree completely that what Netflix did wrong was limiting them to 22 minutes and episode and only 10 episodes and then also dropping them all at once after playing them in Canada first like it really should have been a weekly schedule with 15 episodes minimum in an hour long episode there's so much story in each episode that it's too much and then they're all at once you really finish them and like 6 hours if you're me and you have to pause to go to the bathroom and things like that it's just too much and it all fades away and I can't remember so much of it that I'm like listening to this telling myself I need to rewatch trying to plan it into my schedule but also on the online content I didn't even know it existed until now because I didn't have Snapchat because I don't like Snapchat and other things like that I didn't know this stuff existed and now I'm going to be on the lookout for it

Sad that in Wildbrain’s quarterly report they announced that the reboot of Degrassi is “on pause”. With the dumpster fire that is HBOMax’s current leadership, I fear that the reboot may never happen. 😢
