Volume 3.5 Chapter 31:

That made the others curious. It was something the others had never seen before. Gabriel tasted the pie and realized, "Keith, this doesn't taste like the one we ate yesterday," It tasted sweet and tangy.

He remembered the shepherd's pie to taste savory and bursting with meaty flavor.

Keith smiled, "I added a tomato to the pie this time. I wanted to test how it would taste."

"I see. No wonder it tastes sweeter,"

"Do you prefer savory?"

"I prefer either one. Both taste good," Gabriel smiled as he continued to eat. Arlo added, "These apples are sweet!" Arlo was eating the sliced apple.

"Thank you. I've grown the apples myself," Keith smiled. He kept those in his storage.

"..." The rest stared at the three having their meal. Maria sighed, "I shouldn't have sat at this table," Why do I have to stare at this eating show? What was more, those three had no shame! Did they forget about the others? She looked down at her lunch and then at Keith's meal. The difference was uncanny.

Carolyn tugged on Keith's sleeve, "Keith, can I have a bite?"

Keith chuckled, "Women, you're going to mooch off of me for the rest of your life?"

"Of course!" Carolyn stated with a happy grin on her face. Maria blinked a few times as she stared at her. She glanced at Tristan, who shook his head, signaling her not to say anything. They continued to watch it.

"Here," Keith picked up a fork to feed her.

"So tasty!" Carolyn stated as she chewed. There were so many different textures from the shepherd's pie. The meat was tender and juicy. The potatoes gave it a slight crunch and softness.

"I want an apple!" Carolyn noted. Keith handed an apple over to her. Arlo tilted his head as he stared at the two. Keith noticed it,

"What's the matter, Arlo?"

"Keith, are you and the princess engaged?" Arlo couldn't help but ask this question. But Keith shook his head,

"We're not. This piggy only clings onto me because she likes my cooking."

"And this piggy here will bite you!" Carolyn glared at Keith. But Keith didn't back down as he stared back,

"What? Do you not like my food?" Keith had some pasta in front of her face. Carolyn didn't hesitate to eat it.

"I'm a piggy," Carolyn could care less. She was eating with a happy expression.

"Pff," Keith chuckled. But he continued to feed her. While he continued to do this,

"Keith," Keith turned to see Jack. Keith smiled, "What's the matter, Jack?" It was a rare sight to see Jack come to his table. But then he noticed a student standing beside him.

Hmm? That guy looks familiar. Keith didn't know why, but he felt he met with this person before.

Jack noticed Keith's expression as he introduced him, "This is the owner of my island,"

"Greetings, Prince Tristant! And it's a pleasure to meet you, Marquis Freed!" My name is Todd Mills!"

Mills? Oh, that guy! Keith realized who this person was. That guy was none other than the child who caused a disturbance at the restaurant he, Camelia, and Derek went to.

Todd didn't want to wait for a table, so he used his family's name to force his way through.

"Oh, hello," Tristan greeted. But it was curt. It was normal to show some sign of courtesy.

"Hello," Keith did the same thing. Todd Mills smiled as he sat down without a thought. That caused the others to frown.

"I heard about your exploits, Keith," Todd stated with a smile.

"Hmm?"

"You're the one who created the famous White Forest Bakery." Todd smiled. He heard about it. The creator of the bakery was none other than the 1st year sitting next to him.

"How about we work together?"

"Huh?"

"If you tell me some secrets, my family will help you expand even more!"

"..." Is he dumb? Everyone's eyes dilated when he said that. Asking for the bakery's secrets was already a red flag. But then saying that he would help Keith expand was another issue.

Who was Keith? He was the son of a Marquis. Why would he need the help of a Count to help him expand?

"I don't plan on telling anyone the secrets," Keith stated calmly. It was weird for him to ask this. And divulging something like that might get a lot of people in trouble. White Forest Bakery's security was airtight. All employees had to sign a contract to never divulge any secrets.

"Come on, as fellow nobles, we have a duty to help one another." But Todd continued to talk before he noticed Arlo,

"Eh?! Why is there a halfing here?!"
