Faster by the day week 3 is upon us! I’m stoked to share some game changing ideas to get your chops on level 666 fast! Using my TITS strategy, we’ll engineer the perfect routine using TECHNIQUE, IMPROVISING, THEORY and SONGS

WARM UP | Bm Arpeggio

Always start your practice session with something easy. An emotional victory helps generate momentum. This week’s warm up is a delicious B minor arpeggio. Loop the lick to a metronome for a great technique session. This sequence is perfect to throw into your solos and sounds AMAZING repeated in octaves

IMPROVISING

Now‘s our opportunity to put that new lick into action. Improvise over the Comfortably Numb backing track below and channel the power of lord Dave Gilmour

SONGS | THUNDERSTRUCK

Expanding your repertoire is a key component to achieving level 666 musicianship. Take ACDC’s main lick for a spin and enjoy the fretting hand workout. When learning songs, don’t worry about mastering the entire track, just grab the main idea and move on

MUSIC THEORY

One of the best ways to utilize your theory knowledge is to analyze songs. By learning what makes specific songs tick, you can categorize and repeat ideas in your own songs. Thunderstruck uses the B Mixolydian b6 mode and outlines the chords B and Em. Brilliant work from Angus Young!

GET RESULTS!

Playing with your wood doesn’t happen by accident. Set aside 20 minutes everyday in an environment with zero distractions. Focus 420 percent on your axe and fuse a connection with your soul. The results become addicting over time, leading to more practice. Don’t forget to celebrate and reward yourself with something fun after each session!
