Today's Shred tip is Neoclassical Suspensions/Resolutions. We'll use a descending sequence of 7th to 6th intervals in the key of Am to create tension and release. I'm using the open A string as a drone or pedal tone, reinforcing the key. Bach was a master of Suspensions/Resolutions, weaving these ideas through complex harmonies with ease. I'll leave the tab below.

Used this to prolong a solo. It was a fast tapping part ending on two longer notes. After adding a couple of these suspension-resolution parts, I now have a cool bridge to my main theme. Endless inspiration, my master. Endless.
