This update introduces the audio baking thing which is a pretty experimental update but it seems to be working ok from my tests. If you notice anything weird going on then let me know!

Here is a tweet explaining the audio baking technology:

Update Notes

Update: Blocks are automatically "baked" to invisible samples in the background whenever they are not being edited.

  •  This process should be completely invisible; everything should work exactly the same with the exception that CPU usage should generally be lower
  •  Any time a block is edited in any way its existing "baked" sample is meant to be immediately discarded. If you notice a situation where a block doesn't seem to be responding audibly to edits being made then it probably means I missed something!

Update: Blocks can no longer be dragged/stamped onto minimized tracks

Update: Double-clicking empty workspace area no longer minimizes all tracks (because it was too easy to do it accidentally)

Bugfix: Crash when the mouse cursor enters and then exits a manipulator block
Bugfix: Crash when "sample info" popup panel is opened
Bugfix: Crash when a new lane is created by inserting a block onto the edge of a track, and then undo is pressed
Bugfix: Possible crash when a track is deleted
Bugfix: Possible crash when a block is deleted
Bugfix: Possible crash when a block is sliced
Bugfix: A new sampler block being stamped can disappear temporarily if a sample override is triggered by hovering over an existing sampler block
Bugfix: New sampler block created from an input buffer can have its channel mode initialized incorrectly
Bugfix: Blocks can become misaligned relative to each other when moving them together
Bugfix: When dragging multiple blocks they could erroneously snap to other blocks in the selection
