It's S&F Extra time! So here's a behind-the-scenes look at a bunch of my work!

In the gallery above, you'll find the full sized images of each piece, as well as some timelapse making-of GIFs! And down here, I'll provide some info about each one and links to the full timelapse videos.

Sam and Fuzzy Hit the Beach
This comic was drawn entirely on my iPad in Procreate, which means I was able to make a very detailed timelapse of its creation. You can view the full video here!

Part of what I'm enjoying about these beach comics is getting to experiment with painted-style backgrounds. I'm not sure I'd want to do this sort of thing all the time, but the beach setting really lends itself well to it. What do you think?

Marvel Pets
San Diego Comic-Con was last month, which means I have been drawing a lot of pet portraits. I thought I'd share a few of 'em with y'all today! To start, here's a pair of superhero-themed pieces... a corgi as Rocket Raccoon, and a cat as Rogue from the X-men.

Beach Background
Here's the background I "painted" to use as the title page of the Summer Special! This kind of thing is still very new to me, but I'm slowly finding my way at it. You'll find a timelapse GIF in the gallery, or you can view the full video here.

Thor Villain Pets
Round two of pet portraits: cats as Thor villains Loki and Hela. I'm quite happy with how these two turned out! (They were not for the same person, if you were wondering... just two cat owners who liked Thor characters!)

POGs
This is a kind of insane thing to share, but I stumbled across it in my closet recently and thought you might get a kick out of it. These are... handmade custom Sonic POGs that I made when I was 12. Yes, that's the kind of kid I was. The kind of kid who wished there were Sonic POG... and then took it upon himself to solve that problem. Just in case you didn't realize how cool I was!

Two more pets
Here's one last pair of pet portraits... a dog dressed as Auron from Final Fantasy X, and a dog piloting a miniature N-1 starfighter from Star Wars. Lots of little technical details to get right with these requests, but I did my best!

Dev and Baker at the Beach
All the beach stuff I've been doing lately made me think of this piece, which I originally drew back in 2016. I actually considered redrawing it for the current Beach Special, but I think it'd be a little too similar to the Andrea and Baker piece I drew a couple of months ago.

Thanks, everyone! 'til next time.
