Click here to download this month's issue of S&F Extra! But as an experiment, I'm also presenting this issue directly in blog post format!

Why? Well, to be honest, I'm getting a little frustrated with the PDF format. The rigid shape makes it awkward to fit different-sized images, it's annoying to open on some devices, and it's a little laborious and fussy for me to assemble them.

Some of the creators I support on Patreon have been using the new gallery features to make big blog posts, and I personally really enjoy them. So I was wondering if it could be a good format for the Extra content, too! As a BIG bonus, it would also let me post animated GIF images like the one above, which I think would be really fun. What do you think? Let me know!

In any event, on with the experiment!

Zim Vs Gir-Dib, Ruby and Sapphire, and Sonic Vs. Mega Octus
Three of the folks who bought my Inktober originals asked for marker-coloured versions. You can see here how they turned out!

Zim Vs. Gir-Dib is a scene from one of my favourite issues that I wrote for the Zim comic. Ruby and Sapphire are two of my favourite Steven Universe characters. And Sonic vs. Mega Octus is a scene from Sonic Mania, which I just finished replaying for the millionth time. (It's so good!)

Animal
Someone is gradually commissioning me to draw portraits of all six members of the infamous Muppet band “The Electric Mayhem”! Here’s Animal to kick off the project. I'm really looking forward to drawing all these guys!

Gigantimax Pikachu
The story behind this particular Pikachu drawing is... someone wanted to buy my “Pikachu meets Mimikyu” Inktober piece for their daugher, but it had already been scooped up! So they said that if I managed to do another Pikachu Inktober, they’d happily nab it.

I didn’t end up doing any more Pikachus for Inktober, but I did manage to draw this one in early November. I was eager to try drawing Gigantamax Pikachu... I love the old potato-shaped Pikachu design, and was excited to see it return as his Gigantamax form.

I really felt like this one needed some colour, so after finishing the black-and-white original, I scanned it and coloured it in Photoshop. Pretty happy with how it turned out!

S&F Christmas
The festive bonus is a silly Charlie Brown Christmas parody. In particular, it’s a parody of the art on the Charlie Brown Christmas vinyl record, which I hang up on my wall every year as a part of my decorations.

It was exceptionally weird to try and draw the S&F crew in this style. My brain did NOT want to accomodate schultz’s habit of drawing noses directly between the eyes. (I mean, vertically.)

Baker-Snoopy is kinda cute!

Christmas Cookies
This holiday-baking themed piece featuring my real-life doggos, Dipper and Mac, is the art that I created for my personal Christmas cards this year. I think this is my sixth year of drawing cards featuring either one or both of these guys.

My girlfriend suggested this idea. I am really happy with how it turned out! I actually think a modified version of it might make for a fun shirt design. Maybe a shirt that says “I’M HERE TO MAKE FRIENDS”. Hmmmmm...
