     She wasn't prepared for this. Nothing comes to her recollection like it should. She can’t remember who she is, or was for that matter. She just knows that everything feels different and there isn’t anything she can do about it. It’s almost suffocating, just how much of her memory is wiped. It's like static, an overwhelming white noise that takes over her senses. She looks down at herself in shock, but she isn’t sure why. Was she something else at some point? What’s her birthday, what’s her age? Does she have any family? Nothing comes to her mind as she suffers in her vast empty space, her identity, her everything has been taken away from her, and she doesn’t even know what that everything could possibly be.

    Suddenly, she feels a tugging at her very soul. She strains to reach out for a single memory, and upon reclaiming it, sees another, and another. Just as she has reclaimed one memory and reaches for another, a meek voice interrupts to call out,

    "Vulpix?"
