Love these conversations. Makes me realize how out of the norm it is that all of these “art house” films are opening in my neck of the woods (I live in the Bay Area) and that I am usually seeing them on opening weekend (or opening weekend for the area.)

Hi Dave! Considering the high steaks Arby's meal wagering on the next week's movie debuts, adopting Price is Right rules for the predictions - 'closest without going over' might by useful. You can use the honor system to prepare both of your predictions in advance (without knowledge of the other's guess to avoid the '$1 or bid + $1') or get a few more people (bubblemates?) to throw their predictions in to keep it interesting. XO
