I'm very late, and I know you are done with all the movies by now but I just wanted to comment (although I'm sure people have mentioned it in your comment section, either here or on YT). The thing with Ron is that from very early on, he states that he is the 6th brother in his family, everyone of his brothers have been successful in a way or another, he gets hand-me downs from them (his wand, his rat, his clothes, his school furnitures), he never gets something new. His two bestfriends have something going on for themselves, Harry being the boy who lived and Hermione being the brightest witch. Harry becoming a champion was the cherry on top of everything, and as much as Ron supports Harry, this was just too much. I'm not excusing him but remember in the mirror of Erised, Ron's deepest desire was to be a Prefect, a Quidditch captain, etc. He wishes to be recognized and look up to. Which makes sense when you think about his position in life, being Harry's friend. He is bound to be overshadowed once more. In the Goblet of Fire, it was just a little fight between teenage friends, it was bound to happen at some point. Loving your analysis! The fact you take the time and put a lot of effort in understanding what's happening, and trying to figure out things is great. Your reactions are one of a kind ❤️

I feel watching you critically analysing sections fascinating. You piece together what you've seen, pick up on the tiniest clue and have things worked out faster than I've ever seen anyone else do it. It's impressive. The one thing that can be said about JK Rowling is that she was not afraid to twist plots or make choices that might not have been popular with the viewer/reader.
